Now with the UFC getting all of this talent the LHW Devision is gonna be very competitive

We might even see 2 team members fight eachother

I am gonna simulate how I think things will go down

1. Dan Henderson beats Rampage

2. Shogun beats Forrest and gets a title shot

3. Chuck beats Keith

4. Jason Lambert beats Wilson Goviea

5. Nakamura beats Lyoto

6. Rashad beats Tito

Page beats hendo, shogun beats page, wand beats chuck, chuck still gets a title shot because wand more then likly won't fight shogun, and shogun retires chuck. I think Shogun's the futre, at 25 he's got alot of time.

haha thats funny becayse Lambert lost to Rashad so I dont think they are fighting anytime soon. Don't forget about Soko pretty sure he is going to sign with UFC pretty soon.

Hendo or Page is just holding that belt for Shogun

No matter what the scenario, Shogun will be champ within the next year and will have a Liddell/Hughes/Wandy style reign for a long time.

im actually leaning more towards rashad in the 2nd fight with tito, i dont think he'll be as tentative this time around now that he knows he can hang with tito(the 3rd round should be a confidence booster).

as far as the thread title goes, the future of the LHW division can be summed up in one word:SHOGUN

I know I may get killed for this but if Soko comes to the UFC I see some great battles between him and Shogun like a Chuck Randy 123 set up.

It all depends on whether or not soko has a chin. Been tested once and he was KO'd, but still thats not a true test because it was a great shot and anyone can be put out once. So we'll see soko and shogun are great fighters and very young.

Hey, I am pretty much positive I said, that Liddell would get knocked out by Wanderlei, not securing a title shot for him, I dont think Liddell will be a champion again either.

Look at all of the Pride Fighters who have made their way into The Octagon and had Octagon Rust or Fright.

Heath Herring lost his first match.
Rampage looked sloppy in his first match against Marvin Eastman.
Mirko Cro Cop looked OK against Eddie Sanchez.
Big Nog almost lost against Heath Herring in the Octagon.

What I am saying is all of these guys really did not fight a BIG NAME in the UFC and they all had less than great performances.
Shogun Rua is fighting a devistating striker and Octagon Veteran and Title Shot Hopefull FORREST GRIFFIN.

Rua could go in there and choke or come un-prepared or overlooking Forrest Griffin, there is no such thing as a gaurenteed win, look at the upsets of Jens Pulver/Joe Lauzon, Jens Pulver was a 7 to 1 favorite, and thats pretty good.

Might I mention, before the Matt Serra/Georges St. Pierre fight, I said that Matt Serra would catch Georges off gaurd and attack him and push the pace while standing, I did not think he was going to knock him out, but I did believe he was going to win.

Upsets happen, seeing Forrest defeat Shogun would not be that big of a surprise for me because Forrest has alot to prove and Shogun could easily get caught.

have you seen any of shogun's fights? he has been hit by way better strikers then forrest, and he hits harder then anyone forrest has faced. I like forrest, but i'm also a realist, and forrest stands little hopes of beating shogun imo. also to your response joe l was a 7-1 dog because he was unknown, shogun is not unknown and has been ranked #1 for a while. also the only reason forrest is in line for a title shot is because he is fighting shogun. Do you honestly beleive after getting ko'd by kj, and then a lackluster fight with hector DW is sitting in his office saying" man forrest really deserves a title shot" no more like"man shogun really deserves a title shot so we will throw him a ufc fan favorite like forrest so he can get good exposure in the ufc. forrest's striking is only average he keeps his hands apart and low. there is always a chance he could upset shogun, but there is always a chance a snowball might not melt in hell too!

I honestly think that Henderson will keep the belt for at least to denfenses, though they may be against big names like shotgun and even Liddell. Henderson is just such an amazing athlete and not to mention, held two title in Pride in different weight divisions. If he doesnt dominate the LHW division then it will be the middleweight which will be way easier, though Silva vs Henderson will be a great matchup.
