Friends Drunk Father...

So my buddies dad wanted to basically kill me last night over absolutely nothing at all. I was at a friends college graduation party it was a mix of family and friends so my buddy and his girlfriend who im really close with and have been before i even met him came, and his parents are friends of the family so they where there. I show up late because i was training all day and have been in a pretty shitty mood almost all week so party + drinks + friends = good time (usually) well me and my buddies girlfriend where sitting around talking she wanted a back rub so i gave her one like usual my buddy doesn't care hes cool with everything but his dad like blew up and was yelling at him and his brother about how bullshit he was about it or something. so he came over to me and literally tried to get me to swing at him, now I don't drink enough to get drunk, I literally have one or two at a party because I don't like to drink that much at all, But hes was trashed so im trying to find out what the hell is going on and why hes pissed and end up giving up and walking away when i get hit in the back of the neck with a punch. Now i really don't wanna like fight his dad and look like an asshole, but as soon as i turn around i see my buddy and his brother just look at me and go "oh well we tried" and walked away knowing i was prolly going to teach the old man a lesson. so i let him swing at me a couple times, i never threw one punch, just shot in for a double picked him up and slammed him on the ground (not hard enough to actually hurt him just knock the wind outta him) got up in mount and asked what the **** his problem was he just kept saying get off me so i did and he left then my buddy left to go talk to him and the rest of the night sucked.

Well you should'nt have been giving his lass a back rub. If he was just letting you do that, I'm not surprised his dad went ape. Yeah hitting you wasnt the right way to go about it, but I'm not surpised he was upset about his son being so limp.

I'm with you man my group of friends are real close and if one of my close friends were rubbing my wifes back I would know its cool. That said my dad would prob be like "whats that all about?", but if I say its cool then my old man would let it go. You should have keylocked him a little just to make sure he knew it wasn't a luck slam.

First off id never rub any of my buddies girls backs thats just alittle too much...Secondly...a mans age,color or whatever doesnt mean shit if he swings on you..You shouldve blasted the dad especially if he was drunk and being an ass..People learn their lessons from being a drunken asshole i know i have gotten a black eye or two...So if my dad hit any of my buddies in a non jokin around manner and they layed him out...Then i guess he deserved it and get over it.People drink and sometimes they get all emotional and cry and get all waah no one likes me and some people get the "drunk courage" where they wanna fight and get mean...I guess you gotta filter the good happy fun drunks aside from the EMOtional,Want to fight everyone drunks.Either way a punch to the face will help things out

Maybe it's mainly an American thing, but stuff like back rubs, footsie, holding hands are usually for couples only. The most action any friend gets from your girl is usually a hug.

If everyone involved is cool with the backrub, than its no big deal. I wouldn't be cool with a friend rubbing my girls back (mostly because I know my friends ) but I've had the wife of a friend offer to give me a backrub before and he didn't flip out. It all depends on the comfort level.

As for the dad, you did the right thing by trying to walk away initially, but when some asshole attacks you from behind, its time to smoke that ************, so good on you for taking him out in proper fashion.
