I think this would be a good matchup for both guys. With that said, who do you think would win? Lutter looked somewhat impressive against silva to some while Franklin got destroyed both times. However, Franklin has defeated many more impressive opponents than Lutter has (Okami, Macdonald, Tanner vs Cote, Eastman, ??).
Personally I think Franklin would take it. And thats not nuthugging, I just actually believe he has more tools than Lutter and would put him away.

Lutter´s best trainer partner is himself. He's not in this game enough to beat the hard working Franklin. Losing twice against A.Silva isn't something to be ashamed of. Franklin is a great fighter.

Why isn't Lutter getting any love? He's extremely hardworking, and I think that he's very underrated. He has solid ground skills, and I think that he could definitely beat Franklin. I'm not saying that he would be favored or anything, but he could definitely beat Franklin.

Franklin would win without a doubt he is much stronger, has better striking, has a good ground game and is a great wrestler and his conditioning is amazing.

Lutter is the Michael Jordan of Jiu Jitsu people and he will more than likely have the weight advantage when they fight.
Oh, and im sure Rich Franklin is gonna train even harder now after his loss.. that he will come into the fight with 2 black eyes, thus distorting his vision.

id bet on franklin.
But lutter is hugely under-rated.Lutters bjj is better than franklins,lutter has a better chin than franklin and better wrestling.
But id still have to go with franklin,i just see him stuffing the td and beating lutter up.

lutter might have great bjj skills. But this isnt a bjj contest it is mma and franklins game is far more advanced then lutters.
i doubt lutter will have the weight advantage franklin fought at 205 and is a perfect sized 185 just cause lutter couldnt make weight when he fought silva doesnt mean he is bigger then every 185, i would give the strength advantage to franklin
you are right that franklin will train harder now (if he can get past those two brutal ko's) and what has lutter done with his training. nothing his camp is horrible.
i am not counting lutter out but he is a defenite underdog. and i see franklin taking this fight. If he can get his head past his loss ( which he has done before)

2 words: Missed weight. (When he blew his guaranteed MW title shot against Anderson Silva for winning TUF 4 because he couldn't get down to 186 in time) Plus Dana was talking like he'd never be back in UFC, but the missed weight turned many against him.
