i went to NOLA this past weekend to see FN25 Battle On The Bayou. I had an absolutely amazing time (kinda hard not to when you're in New Orleans) & got the chance to add a few souvenirs to my collection along the way.

for all of you who say "Pics or GTFO!", I will add a thread w/ pics later once I figure out why my phone won't let me take them off of it & get more from the others in my group

me & my friends started off at the weigh-ins. I got pics w. Wandy, Munoz, Goldie, Buffer, Joe Silva & Rogan. we then found a spot in the corner away from the weigh ins where all the fighters were walking by after weighing in. NOBODY was there.

I got Autographs in my BOTB program from Edwards, Stone, Riddle, Bailey, Dunham, Rocha, McKenzie, MacDonald, Belcher, McGee, & Ellenberger.

My drunk ass was seeing dizzy towards the end & being the biggest fanboy in my group, I will admit that I screwed up tremendously. I asked Jake Ellenberger why he shaved his beard bc I was expecting Court to be the next guy to walk by. He told me, "Wrong guy", turned my page to his page & signed it anyways I'll never forget it bc my girlfriend wont stop reminding me about it

I got autographs afterwards from Arianni, Meathead & Dana.

Fri Night Saw Rogan at the House of Blues (AMAZING live show) & spoke to him for 5 minutes afterwards. My friends hung out w/ Meathead, Bader, Goldie & Delagrotti at HOB, but I was too busy watching the standup.

Then at the fights I got to see a pretty solid card & got autographs from Mike Swick & Phil Davis at the autograph booth. (I couldve gotten Carwin & Schaub later, but they were signing during fights & I was not going to miss a fight just for an autograph.

I missed out on Guillard, Royce, Carwin & Schaub.

All in all, was a very awesome experience! Can't wait to go again!

Thanks for sharing your experience with us. All in all, it sounds like you had a great time. Was Swick cool in person?

That sounds pretty BA bro. My weekend was alright, not as cool as yours but I still got to shake Tony Dungy's hand at the Ducks game. His son plays for Oregon. I was too drunk to remember to take a picture

Duncan was amazing!!!! he spoke to me afterwards for about 10 minutes about how much he liked ufc & i tried to get him to hit me but he said it wouldnt do anything. Him & Rogan were so hilarious & it was all new material!!!

Honestly, I didn't see a single fighter that was in an autograph booth that looked happy. I'm sure he was nicer afterwards, but I never saw him.

I don't blame them though. hundreds of autographs in 45 min must be exhausting.

Riddle, Dunham, Lullo & McKenzie were the only fighters at the weigh ins that appeared to be in good moods & my girlfriend got mad that Belcher wasnt personable, but I tried to explain that the dude was hungry as hell, dehydrated & probably had lost 10-15 lbs in the last couple of days. She understood after that

One more thing...

I saw Fabricio Werdum 7 times this weekend randomly in NOLA.

Weigh ins, Outside House of Blues, Casino, at the Fights sitting at the BL bar, walked by hotel after fights on way to canal & took pics w/ us, on Bourbon, again at the Casino.

We asked him if he was going to be in UFC or Strikeforce for his next fight & he said "Big surprise." & eitehr said he was fighting in december or we'd get our surprise in december. Either way I hope he's back!!!

Fighter whose size surprised me the most in person: Bader. Dude is a beast. I refused to try to hang out w/ him at House of Blues bc I was drunk & couldnt get the Tito fight out of my head

All new material? That's awesome. That means he'll have a new special out soon. He was talking about it on the podcast a few months ago. He wanted to shoot it here in Toronto when he went in April but I'm pretty sure it didn't happen.

I'd love to meet those two. I'm listening to their latest podcast right now. Excellent. Did you get a chance to meet RedBan?

If he was there I didnt see him. I normally wouldve checked his twitter, but there's a lot of things I intend to do when i visit New Orleans that I either forget to do or I do & forget that I did. So im not sure if he was there or not.

Looking back on how little I ate & slept & how much alcohol, pot & other things I consumed while I was there, it's actually pretty amazing I accomplished all that I did
