I've maintained for some time that I thought the return of the best P4P boxer on the planet would do pretty good numbers even if they have dropped the ball on the promotion and the fight isn't really that competitive on paper. I didn't really think UFC 103 would put too much of a dent in the buys that the fight would be getting either. However, the results of the poll on this article on BadLeftHook have to been seen as troubling.

Just voted for fun to see the updated results. 53% saying they'll be getting UFC 103 instead. I realize that the scales are tilted because of all the traffic filtered in by links on MMA pages; but it's still pretty humerous to see.

Had this poll been taken on an MMA site I probably would have just wrote it off,but the fact it's on a Boxing website is just halarious in so many ways.

On the other hand, mma lives and breaths on the net while boxing is followed like a normal sport. MMA fans are well-known for being willing and able to blow up polls and comment sections once something starts moving through the forums.

Kidding, right? Marquez is widely respected amongst boxing fans. He's no joke and Mayweather better not take him lightly.

I don't think the Mayweather vs Marquez PPV is in trouble at all. Boxing is a huge sport and anyone that is a fan of boxing knows that this is going to be one hell of a fight. Mayweather is one of the best boxers in the world and Marquez is also one hell of a fighter. I will be ordering that fight, I am just more interested in that matchup than i am in the UFC 103 matchups.
