what would happen in a K1 match if you put Floyd against a world class muay thai striker? would the kicks simply be too much for him or would it be close enough to boxing with bigger gloves and no worry of going to the ground that he would manage to knock some of these great muay thai strikers out...

Floyd would get KTFO if he went to K-1. he wouldn't be able to stand the vicious ounslaught of true world class striking as Masato, Buakaw or really anyone at the K-1 level would just school him. it wouldn't even be funny to watch the beating he would take from Masato and i really hope he doesn't seriously think he could beat anyone from K-1. he is only well versed in a small part of the striking game (punching) and to deal with the other dimensions would be too much for him to handle.

I think Floyd would do better in MMA with a sprawl. Honestly his hands aren't enough. He would have a slim chance against Masato but Buakaw would probably open with as many leg kicks in a row as you could possibly see one man do, and it would end with leg kicks. I think he would be alot like Mighty Mo in K-1.
Everyone is underestimating Mayweather. He has the best striking abilities in the world nd exceptionally quick hands and feet+he ain't and idiot and isn't going to get into a ring or cage without knowing he has a very good chance of winning.I am not trying to say he will K.O all the best K1 fighters cause he ain't but give the guy some credit 4 wat he has achieved,he is an incredible athlete.

Buakaw's best kick is his teep. Mayweather wouldnt be able to get in close enough to hit Buakaw. Buakaw can teep, reload the leg and deliver a roundhouse with it really quickly, and can obviously teep, then roundhouse with his other leg. Mayweather wouldnt know which side the kick was gonna come from, and he'd keep eating them.
EDIT: To the guy above me
Mayweather has the "best striking abilities in the world"? p4p perhaps he is the best puncher, bu thats only 2 weapons. Nak Muay's have 8, and 4 of those (elbows and kicks) are perfect for stopping kicks. One by allowing you to get inside the punch range and cause horrendous damage (elbows) and one by not letting them close enough to hit you while causing horrendous damage (kicks).

I agree. I don't think that the K-1 fighters are unbeatable, but I don't think that Pretty Boy would be able to take the kicks.

the kicks world throw him off, and would mess his combos....and he would be amazed of how much leg kicks and body kicks affect you....and a kick to the head would put him away, he will be surprised how much harder it is when it isnt padded

Way too unpredictable to call. I guess we'll have a peak at the battle of peak-athlete athleticism vs trained MMA ability with the Mir vs Lesnar fight.

It's hard to say what would happen, lets just hope it does...
