As a kid I was always really fascinated by insects, spider, snakes,... pretty much all the creepy crawlies. But even if you find them interesting from an intellectual standpoint there is no denying some of them can be very unpleasant little creatures. Hell, that's an understatement for some of them.

As a man with a keen interest in nature, I've seen these all before. I really liked the article though, I like it when a writer isnt scared of being editorialised, and therefore drops the F bomb as appropriate.

I agree, but there is a line that when crossed, kind of makes the writing seem more tabloid than informative and thus discredits a little.

This is true, but then this is the internet! If something like that turned up on the National Geographic website then I'd be less than impressed!

That made me afraid. I don't like bot flies. I already knew about the bullet ant from Wildboyz when Chris and Steve-O become men.

BTW, where is the Camel Spider on this list?

Compared to those the camel spider is nothing hahaha. I used to think it was scary too but I saw it on Man vs Wild when he ate one. It's nowhere as big as it looks in the pictures, and he cuts its head off and eats it. I'd still hate to wake up with one on me but It's not as scary as an acid shooting wasp the size of your hand lol.

My personal most horrifying bug would have to be the Chicken Eating Spider. Check out this picture and tell me this won't haunt your dreams tonight.
