Saddening, but from what I gathered from the article, he was having health problems during training. If he stepped into the ring knowing that he would have to exert himself 100x more than in training, then his death cannot be blamed on the sport of MMA. I know it sounds cold, but his death was his own doing.

he had a pre existing blood clot, and should not have been fighting.
