two fighters really stand out to me andrei arlovski, and tito ortiz. both of these guys went with a huge fan base and even though they weren't as explosive as they use to be still fought good fights. i think the ufc messed up by allowing these two fighters to temporarily leave and bring popularity to another brand. one of the main reasons i want to watch affliction is because of ufc guys andrei and tim. which fighters do you think the ufc should have kept?

i truly dont understand them keeping AA but we have no idea what either party wanted

tito might come back, although i doubt it but his huge fan base is reason enough to keep him, plus he is a great test for fighters in the division (yes, i implied he's a gatekeeper)

din thomas is uber talented, im sure he'll be back if he stays healthy

Based on what I read and heard, I think it came down to money. AA probably wanted more than he was making now and figured as a former UFC HW Champion he could get more than he was, he'd been making something like $50-100K per fight.

Of course I wouldn't mind Tito returning but given the bad blood with Dana I can't see it happening as long as Dana runs UFC despite Tito supposedly being on good terms with the Fertittas. Of course never say never, but it would surprise me if it happened.
