Under its new management, World Extreme Cagefighting may be all grown up. In the past six months, the mixed martial arts league has inked deals with the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and cable sports channel Versus. It's looking forward to becoming more than Ultimate Fighting Championship's younger sibling someday.

I dont see the WEC becoming super big though. If the UFC wanted a competeing org that it owned it would be better to use Pride. I think WEC will be used as WWE uses Ohio Valleyl wrestling, has a good start up foudnation for its fighters.
