Had A Feeling

I had a feeling about the Beebe vs. Torres fight, but I went against it like a dumbass. I knew Beebe was no where near as experienced as Torres, and I had heard the stories of Torres' underground days, plus Torres has some of the longest limbs I have ever seen for a guy that light (except Cory Hill who fights about 20 pounds heavier), to pull off crazy submissions. And I think he had like a 9 inch reach advantage, but for some crazy reason I felt Beebe could find a way to keep him held down and elbow the shit out of him. After watching his fight with Yanna (or how ever you spell it) who is one of the best if not the best submission guys at that weight, I figured Beebe could handle him. Stupid me!

That's solid logic and so you made a sensible pick. Unless you see both guys sparring at the end of their training camps you can never be too certain how they match up. I had Beebe for some of the same reasons. It was just tough to believe that Torres is that good and still relatively unknown. But he is that good--he just finally got the right showcase to prove it.

You seem like a very knowledgeable mma minded person, fullerene. Yeah, Torres is just sick on the ground, even more so than I thought from all the stories I had heard. Challengers for his belt are going to have a hard time with this guy. Look forward to seeing this guy in action again and again. Just please shave off that stupid mullet, but I guess if you're that badass, you can rock whatever you want.

Don't feel bad I picked Beebee too. Never imagined Torres would be so damn good.

ya i thought beebe's wrestling would control the fight just like the fight against yhayha, but i had no idea that torre's jiu jitsu was that slick, beebe is a good bantamweight but torres is an elite bantamweight imo.
