Why WOULD Fedor be scared of the UFC? Who would he be scared of?
I bet he found out what Randy was getting paid, realized Dana was lowballing him, and gave Dana the big Russian middle finger.
Fighting is his job and he's a master at what he does. He deserves to fight where and when he wants. Let's face it, if Randy quit because Dana couldn't sign Fedor then Fedor obviously deserves a check comparable to Randy's. If the money was there, Fedor would be here...
