I think feodr is scared of the ufc...he knows about the pride fighters coming in and losing and only a handful winning fights like rampage and nog....does anyone else think that he is scared of the UFC...like why is he going to the IFL next year to be a part of Lindlands team where theres no competition wat-so-ever for the aperrent #1 HW in the world and i dont think he should be at the top of list...Randy's the man to beat in the division and that aint no walk in the park for anyone i dont care if ur name is fedor, i bet randy would man handle him...Dana should strip him of that Pride title and put it up for grabs then have another title unification bout for the heavyweights maybe nog vs kongo for the title then the winner gets a shot at couture......anywho i jus think it sucks that fedor cant work out a deal with the UFC cuz hes too greedy and wants more then he should get

Seriously, You can't fault someone for wanting to be paid as much money as they can get. Randy v Fedor will be a war and I'm not sure who will win. This fight needs to happen and if it doesn't then the blame falls on the promoters and the management team.

Fedor should hold out for as long as he has to to get what he wants and deserves! The more money that Fedor gets, the more he skews the pay scales for fighters and soon enough, all fighters will eventually end up getting more money because of him. Especially if Fedor officially breaks the 1 million per fight ceiling. This should raise pay across the board for all fighters which is a great thing. There is no reason for promoters to pocket more money than they already are. It's the fighters time to get their cut!!!

They get far more than what you might think. Just because the salaries they "release" don't seem that high... don't kid yourself, there's more involved than that.
Also, what do you think Fedor deserves? Why would the UFC throw that much money out there for possibly another disappointment? I'm not doubting the guy's ability, but judging from the track record, think of the potential stink of giving this guy $1 million per fight and then if he didn't win a single fight....

People are saying that he's scared to come to the UFC. Who knows? But I'll tell you one thing, if he goes to the IFL he should not be ranked number one. That is a chicken shit move if you ask me. If you want to get paid top dollar, then come to the UFC and earn it. To go to the IFL, that is like minor league MMA. That would be like Barry Bonds wanting to get paid millions to play in AAA. It makes no sense. I am so sick of people here talking about Fedor this and Fedor that. Come to the UFC, and I bet my money that he would not be the reign of terror that people think he is. I know for a fact that Randy would whoop his ass.

Dana White KEEPS saying Fedor wants to do a Sambo/grappling event in October or November maybe even December and Dana has said if Fedor was under contract with them they would FORBID him from competing in it and he HAS said that he is CONFIDENT they will get a deal DONE shortly after the sambo/grappling event...

I think Fedor is making a smart decision.Think about it a minute.
Why would Fedor rush into the UFC?
That's right,he wouldn't.I think Fedor is waiting to see how other PRIDE fighters fair up in the UFC.What else would you expect from PRIDE's undisputed heavy weight champion?
He's watched Rampage,Henderson,Crocop,and Shogun all make their debuts(or returns) to the UFC.I'm sure Fedors watching very closely what's going on (despite what he might say).And he's probably not going to sign until he's seen all of PRIDE's elite fighters make their way into the cage.
This is just a speculation i'm making,but to me it makes pretty good sense.Fedors been noted for coming into each fight with a master plan,maybe he's got plan for his UFC debut?

I know they get more money from bonuses, sponsors...etc. But the fact still remains that up and coming fighters don't have quite the level of sponsors and bonuses you think. It is not until you are well known that sponsors start to throw you some serious dough. Fighters should not have to rely on sponsors to make a living. To give a guy 3000$ for a fight is ridiculous. Worse yet, Jardine only got 14000$ and he won. So if he would have lost he would have only got $7000 to headline???? That's unacceptable. A fighter should not face been bankrupt simply because he lost a fight.
I am talking about up and coming fighters. Who have a hard time making a living. BTW fedor win or lose will make the UFC that million back at least 3 or 4 fold just by having his name on the PPV.

To me this is like saying Fedor thinks he's on the same level as these fighters....Fedor does not think that. He wants everything his way, and rightfully so, it's not like he's got a ton of holes in his game(only one I see is cutting).

What an ignorant topic, fedor isnt scared of anything, no top level fighter is scared of new orgs or opposition. he might be nervous but in no way scared.
Besides it is more his management then him holding out go check out his new interview he doesnt even know where his contract stands as of today and from the way he speaks it sounds like right after the sambo event he will sign with ufc and fight in early 08.
which i think is perfect since it gives couture time to heal that arm and get back into training so both will be in perfect condition for the new most anticipated fight ever(it was chuck vs wandy but with all the losses it has lost a lot of steam but is still a close second)

i think fedor needs to man up and join the ufc... he was very close to signing till they screwed up his negotiations.... it shouldnt be about the money it should be about the passion and the love for fighting.... hes really pissing me off with him wanting more and more money.

I understand that you want to get as much pay as possible but everytime UFC accepts, he declines and raises again. If he enters UFC after Couture retires, he should never be considered best heavyweight of all time. The best arnt afraid of any competition and fighting in IFL is the most timid thing I've ever heard for a fighter of his caliber.

Fedor is as dominant of a heavyweight out there. He has beaten everyone in pride and most pretty convincingly. I cant image he is even remotely scared by anyone in the UFC.

I don't get it, Randy's beaten GG and Sylvia and suddenly he's the best HW of all time? When the UFC's HW div had some quality guys they forced Randy out, I guess people forget all that though. I'm not saying Randy's not good but Fedor's fought alot of great fighters, who have beat many other great fighters, and he's never been pushed out of a div or retired by a LHW.

He might not have holes we can see,but I'm sure he's probably thinking to himself of many things he could probably improve on.Guys like Mirko had holes in their game plan,but we saw CC get taken on his strong point.It can happen to anyone.Fedor included.No one is invincible and just because you might be strong in one area,or several areas of MMA,doesn't mean no one will out do you.

Well that doesn't make alot of sense, he's still competing in MA. He can lose and he knows he can, but he always knew that. Kind of a weird sport to compete in if you're scare of losing. He's from Russia and there's not a ton of money there, he wants to make as much as he can, and probly retire young.

I don't think Randy got pushed out of the HW division... I think he wanted to test himself against the LHW's in the UFC. Who pushed him out? Sylvia... Arlovski.... and Mir? Not to mention Randy probably should have been in the LHW division his whole carreer, he's pretty much the smallest HW in the division. Also I want to add that Fedor isn't scared of the UFC he is however scared of bunnies... at least thats what my sources say

I don't think he is scared for the UFC, but it has to be in the back of his mind the way that some of the others from Pride have been doing in the UFC.
( I am not knocking Pride, it is just some have had a rough start in the UFC)

But how is that getting pushed out of a division... that's just called loosing. All the great fighters except Fedor, loose. Are you saying that if Cro Cop leaves either the UFC or the HW division then he got pushed out because of Gonzaga and Congo?
