Most of the fighters earn a lot of money with their sponsers. Plus appearences they make, bonuses for their fights its not as bad as it looks.

But so does every other pro athlete on earth. The UFC makes more then alot of orgs. and their athletes are the lowest in pay grade. They also have the most training(IMO) and biggest risk outside of football.

And baseball.....a 100 mph pitch at the head.....Not to safe

I recently read Forrest got paid 10,000 dollars to show up at a 2 hour sign meet and greet..

They have protection, as do all other sports, hell even boxing gives you bigger gloves. So he made 10k, how much do you think A rod would make to do that? On top of his 25mil a year.

I don't think Randy, Chuck, Tito, Hughes, GSP, Sylvia, Forrest, Sherk, Florian, Silva, Franklin, Rampage, Henderson, Rua, etc., etc. or any other big names have any problems paying their bills. They don't exactly drive Pintos, pickin up what I'm puttin down.

I think each fighter should get AT LEAST 25k a fight.

Hell, I'd take 5,000 for 15 minutes of work. I think over all the fighters are being paid what they should be at this point. Most of the salaries are the base salaries that need to be reported to the Athletic Commissions. If the orginazations could pay more, I am sure they would. You don't think BODOG would through millions at fighters if they could? Ayres uses BODOG fight to promote all his other enterprises and vice versa. One would think he could take a bigger hit than UFC in order to cross promote.

You would take $5,000 for about 4 fights in one year? That is minumum wage pretty much and plus you get about 10 years knocked off your life. So you can take that $20,000 over 10 years or so then be pretty much retarted from all the hits you've taken.

Basically what I am saying is, if you want to fight and you are a "c" level fighter, $20,000 BASE SALARY is not bad for 1 hour of work at the most. Remember the UFC is paying for them to fight, not train. If they don't think it is worth it then don't do it. You have the right to choose your profession, you DO NOT have the right to make $100,000 for doingwhatever it is you decide.

If more money was available, I am sure they would be seeing it.

As far as losing 10 years of one's life or becoming retarded, that simply doesn't happen. I do know that my job is most likely taking years off my life, but that's a risk I take to support my family in the manner I do.
