Fedor vs Randy

I dont understand wtf the problem is. EVERYONE KNOWS this is the most anticipated fight in history. i recently heard they solved the sambo issue, and the $$$ , and a final contract was given to Fedor, and he rejected it. Fedor is the most feared fighter in ALL of the MMA world. although his competition in Pride at one point was #1, he very much needs to fight in the octagon. so why did he reject it? is he stupid? or is Fedor getting all he can out of the UFC. but i dont think that money was the problem. he would be treated like a God if he signs the contract. even just for 1 fight, no longterm crap. they better deal with this ASAP, i dont kno how long Randy can wait to POUND another person . personally, i think fedor is stalling. i kno he is Fedor, but randy style would work PERFECT against Fedor. Fedor has been on the bottom, we all saw him fight lindland. but lindlands wresteling doesnt even come close to the greco skills of Randy. i would bet down my house that if they fight in the next 3-5 months, Randy will shock the MMA world yet again. **** TKO or Decision, KO due to Elbows Round#1.

I'm not gonna get into the Randy vs Fedor debate since it has been beat to death already. I will say that if you are gonna start a thread with this sort of rant, you are gonna get flamed for sure. Saying things like "grecko" and "Lindland's wrestling doesn't come close to Randy's" just puts a big ol' target on your forehead. FYI...Lindland was a silver medalist while Couture was an alternate.

id like to see this fight,but IMO the way things are going i dont think it will happen

Please tell me what aspect of Randy's fighting is better than Fedor? Fedor has better striking, grappling, ground-pound, ect.

I'm not saying Randy cannot beat Fedor (he is definitely able), but as I said a million times before there's no way he is a favorite going into a fight with Fedor. Don't talk as though Randy would destroy Fedor.

On top of that I'm sick of these Randy/Fedor threads.

DUDE! I wrote the same exact thing in another forum. Theres jsut no other reason why he would be waiting but to stall that fight. If he waits til Randy fights another fighter, I seriously will never see him as one of the best fighters in the world. The best fighters in the world dont dodge anyone and take the best competition in front of them. Fedor knows if Randy wins, it would cement Randy as the best Heavyweight in not only UFC but modern MMA history. Randy doesnt dodge fights, hes asking for Fedor and Fedor is wussing cause hes worried about his record. Hes like Sylvia now, not fighting to win but fighting not to lose and thats a big mistake.

what aspect is better? lmao where to start. of course Fedor is a WAY better striker. but as i said befor, we have ALL seen holes in fedors game. hes been rocked before, randy latley has been known to giving REAL BLOWS (tim silvia, gonzaga) they were both hurt within the first 15 seconds of the fight. second. Fedor is great on the ground, hes gotten ppl on top and on the bottom, but when he has been on the bottom, its been against ppl that were 185 and moved up to 215 to fight(matt lindland) so he hasnt had much of a challenge, and on top of that, if Randy can control all 6'8" 265LBS of tim sylvia, Fedor shouldnt be a problem.
Last But Not Least. Fedor is a bleeder, his only lose was due to a cut in the opening round due to an ELBOW. Randy has been working EXTENSIVLY on his ground and pound and his elbows, and has cut, bruised, swollen up his oppenents face in both of his last fights.
BTW grappler0000, Matt Lindland IS a silver medalist, but some of the best grapplers in the world never stepped foot in the olympics. and some of the BIGGEST HACKS have been in the olympics.

Fedor will have to out box him and out wrestle him which will be EXREMELY hard to do. Kevin randleman dominated Fedor with wrestling but got caught in a submission because the hammer house obviously has no JJ.

Randy dominated Kevin easily OVERALL in EVERYTHING and has WAY better JJ DEFENSE and will not be submitted by Fedor. So Fedor will have to outstrike him and whenever they grapple on the ground Fedor Must be top doing the punishment.

Al Randy has to do is avoid boxing throw elbows from the clinch & GNP and Randy has a great chance of a UD because Fedor is extremely hard to stop because he has the best recovery I have ever seen!!!

So, I ask you to back up a statement about Greco skills and you drag in GnP, all around grappling skills, and BJJ...so what do those things have to do with your previous claim? You say that Lindland still makes horrible choices...yet you give an example of something he did several years ago. If he had been wearing wrestling shoes, I assure you that he wouldn't of slipped and knocked himself out, but hey, it was a learning experience for him...you can't always do the same things exactly the same in MMA. Randy has made plenty of mistakes himself...as great of a fighter as he is, he doesn't have the greatest record, which means he is still growing as a fighter as well. But, none of this really has anything to do with who's Greco is better. You care to back up your claim this time?

Look, I'm sure that if anyone in MMA today has a good chance at beating Fedor it is Randy, but grappler and copenhagen are right in what they're saying about your points. No way would Randy be the favourite even though I personally think the fight would be way closer than most people think and no way is Randy's wrestling better than Matt's. These threads have really been beaten into the ground and you're probably not going to get anywhere with them.

randy will roast. experience. mind control he is just as good as fedor and will pick him apart. when randy says he see's some holes, he see's some huge holes in people's game

Sambo champ(world), fought best strikers K-1 had to offer(and won), fought best BJJ HW(and won), This is a amazing mma fighter who's made to beat people who fight like randy(lindland is a more accomplished greco roman wrestler then randy). Oh and elbows may cut fedor but he tends to sub people when they cut him. Although the way the UFC has been calling bouts I could see them calling it as soon as fedor recieved a scratch.

Randy's got a chance... but I say that Fedor would control and dominate the match. This is still the fight that has to happen. There is only one way to find out.

Fedor has got fast hands, Randy has been KTFO before by Liddell,
I disagree when everyone says Randy will pound him for a tko, Fedor is a feirce grappler and so is Randy, but i think that if Fedor lands a few good shots it could be lights out for randy
