So lets say Fedor comes over in the next few months and fights against whoever it is,and he loses? How will this effect the world of MMA and what will it do to M-1?

I understand the opponent has not been named yet and that will be a big factor in this question, but regardless,Fedor is arguably the best heavy weight in the world in the eyes of most.

If Fedor loses then he would need to fight again as soon as possible. It would be devastating to watch him lose after hearing so much hype about him.

it can happen, especially if fedor sees no possible threat in M-1 than he might not train or give his full attention to the fight, and he might get caight.....hope it doesnt happen but its always a possiblity

if he loses there will be 40% of the people coming on here and making an excuse for it....(ex. oh he was sick and couldnt train properly, he had a knee injury coming in..etc..)

and the other 60% will come in claiming he was never that good, and he was overrated and shouldnt even be top 5 in the HW division...

I already think he's overrated, and pre the retirement of Couture, I think he was 2nd in the HW div anyways.

I agree sort of. I hate it when people use excuses for people losing. Forrest was better then Shogun. GG was better then CC on that day. NO EXCUSES!

But I have to disagree. I think Half of you people that say he is overrated have only seen 2 fights. You guy need to check out ALL 3 his fights with Big Nog. Check his fight with Cro Cop & Fujita and even Kevin Randleman(Unhuman recovery) and then tell me he's freakin overrated. Don't even use the excuse Big Nog ain't that good either because he took HH to a decision. He submitted the dude twice if anything big props to Heath for not being submitted. Jeez..

Fedor is #1 IMO but if he loses then I think he's dropping atleast out of the top 5 especially if the guy he fights has more then 2 or 3 losses. I think he'll only lose because of a cut. Other then that he's virtually unstoppable...

I personally would be so relieved. It would shut up all the ******* nuthuggers. I am so sick of the Fedor debates. After the initial squabbling, and the dust from the fallout was done, we could have peace on Earth.

Look, any of you guys who deny Fedor's talent, just shows how uneducated you are about the sport of MMA. Have you even seen his fights? Look at who he's fought!! You can't deny that he's the #1 HW in the world. Look at his record and then look at Couture's. I think Couture, better than anyone else, has the best shot at beating Fedor, and I think he's got a good shot. The problem is, we'll probably never see that fight, unless Couture's goes to M-1 after his contract w/the UFC is up. Nevertheless, you still can't deny Fedor's talent. He's only been beaten once, and that was due to an illegal elbow, and that was like seven years ago. How many fighters do you know who have fought against the talented fighters he has, and still hasn't lost?? No one, that's who. You have to give credit where credit is due. And as for the post up towards the top, Have you ever even seen Fedor fight?
Anybody can lose an any given day. But for what Fedor's done, he deserves credit. I'm severly dissapointed that he didn't sign w/the UFC, possibly so he won't have to travel, whatever, and he won't be fighting the "cream of the crop" anymore. That sucks, but you still have to give him credit for what he's done after the last few years.
