Fedor Immediate Title Shot???????????

I was readind something today that said if the ufc signs Pride Heavyweight Champ Fedor Emeianenko That he will be given an immedate title shot does anyone else think that he needs to fight a top contender first? Sure fedor is 26-1 but most of those fights were gimmes and the few times that he fought elite fighters he went to decisions every time ex)cro cop,Big nog i think that if the ufc signs fedor he needs to fight somebody considered to be a top 5 fighter before he fights randy ex)gonzaga,vera,Big Nog,or even frank mir if hes in shape.

Good thing Cro Cop didnt get an immediate title shot when some people though he should have. Fedor is the best heavyweight in the world no doubt but he should have at least one UFC fight to adjust to the rules and get familiar with the fans and the organization then if he wins he deserves a title shot.

Fedor is the greatest Best P4P in the world, he is the most well rounded fighter i thnk to ever set foot in the Ring, he stood toe to toe with mirko (one the most feared Strikers in MMA, and went to the ground with the best JJ wizzard (big Nog), grappled with the best, and survived a slam that most peopple would have died, he has proved himself as the best martial artist, and you want him to fight a top contender?? oh no not just that but you also mentioned frank Mir?? what has he done after his accident that makes you think he is a top contender?.....

i think what you are saying is nonsense, hendo is the pride champ,and got an immediate title shot to unify the belt, Fedor is the Pride Heavyweight champion, why would he have to fight a top contender? ....if fedor comes to the UFC they will unify the Pride/UFC belt, just like they are doing with hendo...

Hat I think is that if Hendo steps right in to unify the title, then so should Fedor. Especially with no clear no. 1 contender HW right now. Fedor v. Randy is the match that needs to be made now. Randy is at the top of his game atm, but Randy isn't going to be around forever..........

I also think Fedor should get a warm-up match first. But if he gets an immediate title shot it wouldnt surprise me

The only ppl that should get a immediate shot are the current Pride Champs so yes he should.

ok what you just said was garbage complete garbage. gonzaga a top 5? mir would die if he faced Fedor literally you have to think about an opponets well being, besides does Fedor rly need to prove himself first to get a title shot?? NOO he doesn't also if Fedor had a match first a lost to a no name opponet like Mirko there goes the UFC's new investment and aquissition, it only makes sense to pit Fedor number one in world and pride hw champ first Randy constantly defying te odds and UFC hw champ, i dont see how this doesn't make sense???

Fedor said he wanted to fight the best, so give him Randy Couture. End of discussion. Henderson is getting a shot instantly, why not Fedor?

If Fedor did have a warm up fight and lost should he still get a title shot?
would you still say he is #1 or would that make Randy #1?

why would dana even beat around the bush, anyone that follows MMA a little bit knows fedor and what hes accomplished. even people that only watch ufc have heard rogan mention him in braodcasts, and people that i talk to that dont follow the sport closely are made aware of fedor and how great he is by me when they come over to watch PPVs. he is by far the most credible fighter thats a free agent in the world right now and has nothing to prove except that he can beat randy and unify the titles.

no way he sould not, i wanna see him fight in the cage with UFC rule,pride and UFC rules are different you saw what happened to CC, i wanna see him fight someone or two before he gets a shoot

I hope evryone that said fedor needs a warm up fight said the same about hendo. Fedor vs Randy is the only fight that makes sense, besides the money the ufc is bound to have to pay him, it would be stupid for him to fight someone else first from a financial standpoint---hence crocop

He should get one, he has been the PRIDE FC HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMP for how long ?,,, i think all the champs from pride should get a title shot right when they join...
