I think fedor will win GNP... but barely.... i think monson will give him a good challenge... if fedor loses, then what? We are probably going to say Tim Sylvia can beat fedor now... which sylvia probably could... i dont believe fedor is number 1 at all.... i dont even think he is top 8!

1st things 1st i wanna say im a huge monson fan. 2nd lets look at fedor who has he foght in the last 2 years?

oh ya and the tim fight the size was the proble if monson could of reached tims head when he had him on bottom and full gard u would of seen a better fight.

and rizzo ppl say he destroyed monson from what i was seeing it was a slobber knocker of a fight and i had monson wing till that phontom punch hit him and tkoed him.as far as fedor goes he should of signed a 1 fight deal vs coutor hes a chicken shit and coutors a war machin..

so dont doubt monson least he's been fighting top 10's and up and comeing fighters rizzo might not be top 10 but his better than linland hunt and coleman

Personally, I love this fght... but I really don't wanna see it happen, because its going to end with Jeff looking at the ceiling with a doctor over him, as he askes "where the h*** am I?" Personally I like Jeff, and his grappling ablity is really good, but I don't think it can beat out the current 4 time Combat Sambo world champ in Fedor.. I'm sorry, but if you think Combat Sambo isn't saying your one of the greatest grapplers in the world, then u should read up about Sambo.... This is just a painful fight for Jeff, cuz he's got to deal with a guy who's got Devistating KO power, awsome submissions, and possibly on of the best Ground in pound fighters in the world right now... Sorry to say this Jeff, one of the fighters I like to watch, but ur going to get KO'ed or Submitted, either in the first or second round....

I get Monson's skills and all on the, problem is the guy's way to short. Won't be able to even attempt to counter anything from fedor IMO. And then even on the ground, as Tuvok stated, Monson's last fight was a complete mess.

To put my opinion on this... I think this is a bad match-up for a number of reasons. First and foremost, if Fedor is using this fight to get "used to a cage". I think that's silly. I mean, don't get me wrong... he's smart for wanting to take time to get used to a cage, but do it in practice. If he is playing off this fight as that (a fight to get used to the cage) it merely seems like he is saying he is fighting a lower tier fighter simply as a tune-up fight. Simply put... "I'm gonna fight someone I think is a can, so I can get accustomed." First off, I am not saying that is Fedor's thought (nor am I necessarily saying he's avoiding top competition with this post), but the way it is played out makes it certainly seem that way.

Secondly... if Fedor IS using this as merely a tune-up fight... he could possibly take Monson too lightly.

Third, I think their whole deal about letting Fedor fight in other organizations now looks silly simply because of the reasoning behind this fight. If Fedor is in fact using this fight to get used to the cage... it looks like he is incapable of adapting to the conditions prior to the fight. Then what? Would he need a tune-up in every other organization prior to fighting a top tier fighter?

Finally, this fight could be a big mistake for Fedor. Let's say they fight, and Monson manages to put Fedor in a submission. This completely ruins any chance for M-1 to become the next biggest thing. They need Fedor winning to promote their organization.... or they need to bring in a top-level fighter (Couture) due to the possibility of Fedor being defeated.... then have the fighter in a contract. That sky-rockets M-1... Either it proves Fedor in fact is #1, or they go from having an undefeated Fedor as their star to "The guy who destroyed Fedor" as their star. Nothing is guaranteed, and no one is unbeatable. All of the greats have eventually lost at some point in their careers (except Marciano... which I don't think anyone questions the credibility of who he has fought either). To lose to a relatively lower ranked fighter when most of the MMA fans are already questioning whether he really is #1 or not would absolutely destroy M-1's chances of becoming anything.

To sum it up, in my opinion... there is nothing to gain from this fight... but much to lose.

monson's going to do this mark my words this is a fight that makes underdogs hero's

granted monson cant strike the best but hes always approveing.

submissions hes wicked but not as good as nog who got beat by fedor but

monson is way more compact and stronger than nog put that to gether and he aint going to get sumited off his back i dont think or fall in to stupid trangles or dumb stuff like that..

when the snow man wins hes going to frezz m-1 lol just picture it now all the fedor fan's out there saying that monsons a bum and all that crap

monsons going to do this ppl..if this fight does go off whitch i hope it does monsons going to traine his but off and i garntee its going to be a fight monson got all to gain and fedor lol well if he loses thats a huge lose 4 him m-1 russa and all the fedor brown nosers out there




fedor ranked#6 in the world in my books he been fighting floozes and flunkouts lol
