Man- I honestly have two seperate musical lives.... I'm phasing out my classic rock days for some of the newer stuff lately. But I'm still far better edjucated in the classics so here we go:

Nobody's Fault- Aerosmith (Rocks is such a great album, shame it gets lost in the shuffle of some of the garbage Aerosmith has put out in the last 20 years.)

The Jack- AC/DC (Bon Scott's lyrical high-note classic in my opinion. Brilliant inuendo and snearing vocals. Fell perfectly into the context of HIghway to Hell)

Machine Gun - Jimi Hendrix (There just wasn't anything Jimi couldn't do with a guitar. Izabella get honorable mention from the Hendrix catalog)

Layla- Eric Clapton/Derek and the Dominos (Named my daughter after that song, better be on the list somewhere I much prefer the origonal verson. If you ask my wife, unplugged is the way to go.)

Gallows Pole- Led Zeppelin (Such a diverse band of thieves those guys were. This song just doesn't get enough recognition)

Believe me I could go on for days about this topic, and I'm sure there are some gross oversights on this list. But that's what I've got off the top of my head.

1) Thrice- deadbolt (most versatile band alive)

What are yours?

I must agree. My favorite Thrice song is The Beltsville Crucible That entire album is legendary.

I like so many genres and so many bands. I am not even going to make a list. But I can listen to Rancid or Lars at any place, at any time, and for any amount of time.

1) Shook Me All Night Long - AC/DC (Just the best damn song ever by my favourite band ever)

2) Master of Puppets - Metallica (my gf plays drums and it's awesome when she does this song)

3) Stairway to Heaven - Led Zeppelin (I regained my love for this song when my gf and her family played this song)

4) One - Metallica (Darkness! Imprisoning me! All that I see! Absolute horror! I can not live! I can not die!; Such an awesome and intense song)

5) Thunderstruck - AC/DC (again, one of my favourite songs from my favourite band; just full of energy)

6) Kashmir - Led Zeppelin (one of the best rhythms on guitar ever)

7) Layla (Unplugged) - Eric Clapton (if you haven't heard this unplugged, go on youtube to find it)

8) Kickstart My Heart - Motley Crue (Just a really good, fast-paced, high energy rock song)

9) She Sells Santuary - The Cult (Just an awesome song all around; Really good for racing games)

10) Sweet Child O' Mine - Guns 'N' Roses (an epic song from when GnR was still GnR)

I could really go on for a long time, and this may not be my actual top 10, as there are A LOT of AC/DC, Metallica and Led Zeppelin songs I could consider to be on this list. Those are definitely my 3 favourite bands. I just felt like having a bit of diversity with the last 4 there (which are songs that I love as well). ;)
