Pretty good list man, I enjoy all of those as well. Mine is:

1. Touch of Evil
2. Citizen Kane
3. Dr Strangelove, or How I learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb
4.Oldboy
5. M

Most of these are old as sin and probably boring as hell by most people's standards, buy hey, far as I'm concerned they don't make films like they used to. I could list a bunch of honorable mentions, but I fell like bing lazy.

Also, the lack of horror flicks is due to the fact that that is a whole other list for me, I couldn't possibly just pick one of my favorites without feeling like I left something out.

Haha, Raging Bull and Taxi Driver both just missed my top five. De Niro is amazing, though it must be frusrating to come out of nowhere and do all those amazing portrayals that early in your career, and then never be able to touch them again. Not that he's become a worse actor, but his first few big roles were so powerful and well portrayed that they almost seem to totally overshadow everything else he's done.

Old School
Stand By Me
American History X
The Big Lebowski
The Lost Boys

Ask me tomorrow and I'll give you a different list.

I think Deniro and Joe Pecsi did pretty good in goodfellas.
But yeah Raging Bull was without a doubt his greatest movie its hard to have one that good once it has already been done.

cant believe no one said Gangs of New york.....i my mind its one of the best movies ever made

in my college western civ class of 40 people, a teacher asked us students who all had seen gangs of new york and i was the only one that had seen it and only a few had said they had heard of it
i dont know how this is possible, maybe it was not marketted correctly or was too long for some, but it just amazed me i was only one who had seen it.....great movie btw

for the record i hard a hard time not listing Anchorman as my top 5, me and my friends still quote that movie every day

5. The Marine

The John Cena, "The Marine?" Cause if so, that movie was horrid. I made the mistake of buying the dvd for $17, and when I tried selling it I could only get $4. The acting except for Robert Patrick was bad, and even this movie made him look like a amateur... Sorry if you disagree.
