Matt Hughes- he was a dominant champion, wanted to fight anybody who could challenge him, was willing to fight anybody at any time and probably fights more often then any fighter. i don't think theres many fighters who have fought in 3 out of 4 ufc events (UFC 45-48) or even 3 out of 5 (UFC 60-65). Basically he's my favorite fighter b/c he's willing to fight anyone any time and likes to fight often and finishes a majority of his fights

Geroges St. Pierre
Where to start.....Well he has such a well rounded package of skills, and often dominates opponents with what is to be considered THERE strength. Example: Sherk, Trig, Hieron, etc. His fighting style is so fun to watch. He has an amazing ground game, which is often over shadowed by his devastating stand-up. His take down defense is second to none. He has such dynamic presence in the octagon, with superman punches, Spinning back kicks, high kicks, low kicks, that he regularly finishes fights with. There isn't a more athletic fighter in all of MAA. He is just entering his prime which is a scary thought for anyone who thinks they will be around in the years to come at 170lbs. He seems like he is a genuinly nice guy, and loves the fans. Oh yeah, and I'm Canadian, so thats just one more reason I like him.

Quinton Rampage Jackson
I've been following Rampage longer then any MMA fighter I've ever saw... I seen Rampage's loss to Marvin Eastman and still liked Rampage. Not only do I love his fighting style, he's funny as hell, and just seems like a cool mo' Fk'er.
I feel like are past are similar, not going to go into details.
Simply put, Rampage is my favorite fighter.
Then Cro Cop just for what Cro Cop has done outside the octagon, although I don't really... like cops... but whatever lol.

my favorite would have to be wanderlei... he is a ball of fire when he fights and will fight anyone regardless of size

Cro Cop, because his striking is just unreal. Outside of K-1, he is about as fast and accurate as strikers get, hell even in K-1 he was one of their very best!
Also, his LHK is probably the most powerful strike known to man, that alone deserves respect, its like a cannon going off!

I don't know...I'm hoping that Koscheck can win this upcoming fight Aug.25th!

Mirko 'Cro Cop' Filipovic: Because he's so exciting, I like the way he fights and carries himself. I love how he just stands there calm as ever inside the ring/octagon while the other guys bouncing around. Been there know why he's able to do it, when some Drill Instructors screaming at you and you can't move it's pretty easy to be calm in most situations! woo Mirko!

Right there is why, sportsmanship.
GSP and Vitor Belfort. Amazing fighters, amazing people.
I have a few favorites too, my top 5 in order would be Tito Ortiz, Matt Hamill, Luke Cummo, Randy Couture, and Hayato Sakurai.
Right now? St. Pierre. Obviously because he is exciting, charismatic, and disgustingly skilled, but also because I took to him before there was a lot of hype around the guy. I remember when he fought Hieron, he looked very impressive, then to top it off, he almost fell on his head when he back flipped after the fight. Right then I became a huge GSP fan. And it was really cool when he actually became the real deal and everybody was all about the GSP love.
My all-time favorite, though, is Carlos Newton. He was the first fighter that I saw the true beauty of grappling in. I could watch Sakuraba/Newton a million times and never get bored of it. It's a masterpiece. His BJJ matches are even more amazing, slick as you'll ever see. The man was a grappling artist in his time. It's a shame he doesn't get the credit he deserves, his record isn't the best and he hasn't looked the greatest in his last fights scattered throughout recent years, but the guy will always be my all-time favorite I even got the chance to meet him at York University once. Soft spoken, approachable, class act. And the uncrowed UFC 17 tournament champion, no matter what the judges had to say about it.
