Ok ive noticed this with Josh Koscheck Im from Southwestern PA about 25mins away from his hometown of waynesburg. When they talk about his NCAA background and being a champ thats correct he won it in 2001 but they say he was undefeated in college and that is not true he lost to Greg Jones in 2002 from WVU..So im wondering how much of what they say about certain fighters and their backgrounds are 100% accurate.Or maybe Mike Goldberg is just an artard and makes up his own stuff when talking about a fighter.
Heres a link to the 2002 finals where KOS finished 3rd so how the hell can he be undefeated.
LINK forgot hes at the 174lb class

Cael Sanderson is the only NCAA wrestler to go undefeted I belive. I know he was the first so unless in the last few years someone else has he is it. I was good friends with Greg Jones growing up I will have to ask him about going agianst Kos.

I find it ironic that you made a post entitled "Get your facts straight", but you claimed that Koscheck lost to Greg Jones, and that is incorrect. He lost to Rick Springman in the quarterfinals, not Jones. In fact he didnt even wrestle Jones.
So, I guess the proper response would be... "Get your facts straight!".

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that maybe he was undefeated his senior year...is that maybe what was said? Unless someone is champ every year, I'm sure they have losses on their record.

If you look on Gregs WVU profile not only did he Wrestle Kos but also of his 3 losses one was a 3-2 loss to Rashade Evans.

UFC said Randy Couture was from Everett, Washington (where I live) before his last UFC fight. I looked it up and he's actually from Lynnwood, WA. Not a huge difference, it's not that far down the road, but still, they need their facts straight. All I had to do was look at Couture's own website.

Greg Jones did beat KOS i was almost certain that he did and heres the link
Link almost half way down the page you will see...outscored opponents 62-27 at NCAAs ... did not allow an offensive point after the first round ... defeated No. 2-ranked Josh Koscheck 3-2 in a tiebreaker to claim the EWL title .
so uhhh i guess my facts was correct after all...damn

Looks like he lost twice then, so we are both right.
I guess I should have said he didnt wrestle Jones at that tourney. Or if he did, he lost twice. Either way... who cares.

try looking at fighters profiles on the UFC website.
So many of the facts are wrong. Fight ending times and some KO's are called subs and vice versa. Makes one like sherdog.com all the more (not .net though)

I don't recall anyone saying that Kos went undefeated in college. Do you have a link?
From Wiki:
"In 2001, during his Junior season, Koscheck won all 42 of his wrestling matches, and went on to become the NCAA Division I Champion in the 174 lb weight class. In the coming years, he would win many championships and receive many honors in his national collegiate wrestling career. In addition to being a four-time NCAA Division I All-American (placing 4th, 2nd, 1st, and 3rd respectively), Koscheck is a three-time recipient of the PSAC Wrestler of the Year award, and earned the Eastern Wrestling League Achievement Award twice."

Not only that, I think their fighters' heights and reach, etc. are sometimes off too. The records reported by the UFC are not complete either.

This is nothing back in the early UFC's the fighters picked there 3 strengths points for the TV themselves. After Varelans got his legs kicked off by Ruas one of his points for the next UFC was cerebral fighter. I laughed for a good 2 minutes.
