experiences meeting fighters

Do you have any stories of meeting a fighter at an event or somewhere else that was a really positive experience?

I met several fighters at 77...everyone I met was nice, but the one that stands out in my mind is Houston Alexander. The guy is as nice as can be in person...just overall a good guy who was very happy to spend some time with the fans and get to know everyone. I had thought he was an exciting fighter before then, but he really impressed me as a person.

On a side note...I sat directly in front of Twinkle Toes at the fight. He seemed pretty cool, but I could tell he was annoyed by people approaching him all evening. He's been in the business a lot longer than Alexander, so I can sort of understand the difference in attitudes, but I definitely walked away with different opinions of the two.

I met Matt Hughes and he was an asshole...and everyone else that I know that met him that night said the same thing

My wife's friend just met Chuck Liddell in a bar in San Luis, California last week. She said that he was the most down to earth guy she had met in a long time. She bought him a drink, and he took a picture with her. So, not all fighters have their heads in the clouds.

mike swick-probably the titest fighter ive met just really nice all around guy and i can tell he genually loves the fans
arlvloski-a jerk and he thinks he is too good
rampage-tite as hell
ive met many more but these are just some that stood out

I woke up one morning, and Rampage came out of my mom's room, and was like, "just let her rest some more, she had a long night." Then he floated off like the MMA God he is, and I now wonder if Rampage is my daddy too.


If only this was true..

Man, I don't want to know what you are doing to all these fighters to make you say that they were tight. I like women to be tight, but I don't swing that way with male fighters. lol



I've met GSP, Rickson and Royce.

Out of the three Rickson was the most personable. He was a super nice guy and called everyone "my friend"

GSP was nice, but for some reason I couldn't look at him face to face. I didn't get a chance to talk with him since he was being swarmed by other fans. I'm also not the type of guy to go bug someone or hang around with them just because they are well known. If they want to sit and chat with me about whatever, then I am cool, but I am not going to impose.

Royce seemed very detached as if he was talking to people or teaching because he had to and not because he wanted to, but I got a sense that that was his personality
