I'm excited for Lesnar, Saku/Gracie, Villesenor/Ninja, Tank/Butter, and Shields.

wow, last I heard Gracie was fighting Johnie morton, not Saku... If that is right then I'm even more excited.

I'm excited for this card. Villasenor vs Rua should be a great fight and I'm not sure if Sakuraba vs Gracie was confirmed yet but if it is, it will be awesome. I think Jake Shields bring us a good fight and Tank vs Butterbean will definitely provide a highlight reel KO.

Chute Boxe commander Rudimar Fedrigo has confirmed that Sakuraba landed in Brazil earlier this week and is set for another training camp at Chute Boxe. The camp will serve to prepare Sakuraba for his pending bout on June 2, where he scheduled to be apart of K-1 and EliteXC's joint effort at the Los Angeles Coliseum.

While no fight has been confirmed for Sakuraba, Fight Entertainment Group is pushing to promote a second installment of MMA's most epic clash, between he and Royce Gracie (Pictures).

Perhaps what is more interesting about Sakuraba's return to the Chute Boxe camp is the little known fact that they were actually in negotiations to fight one another for the fourth time earlier this month.

Some rumors suggested a clash between Wanderlei Silva (Pictures) and Igor Vovchanchyn (Pictures) would happen at Dream Stage Entertainment's final PRIDE offering in April 8, and were strengthened by the words of Nobuyuki Sakakibara, who stated that he hoped to arrange some surprises for DSE's final farewell as PRIDE promoters. However, the only unscheduled appearances on the card were Sakuraba and longtime rival Kiyoshi Tamura (Pictures), who addressed the fans and offered a sliver of hope for a much-awaited showdown between the two somewhere, sometime in the future.

Daisuke Sato recently said that the original plan was to have a fourth and final bout between Silva and Sakuraba at the event. The man responsible for PRIDE's much famed pre-fight video packages on the Japanese telecasts, Sato revealed that he had actually made the pre-fight vignette for the surprise bout, however it was discarded as negotiations for the bout fell apart at the last moment.

So what's the deal with this card? I heard it was going to be half on showtime half PPV or something??? Maybe I'm thinking of something else though ...

If that Royce / Saku fight is confirmed, that's worth ordering the PPV right there... Do you think Sak can pass the required tests? Doesn't his brain bleed or something?

well shotime is promoting the first half of the show, and k-1 is promoting the second part of the show, so the first half will be shown on shotime, and i think the full card will be shown on ppv.. a bit sketchy but oh well.

the show that is sponsering it is k-1 HEROES. heroes is the MMA branch of k-1. so the rules would be the same, i'm guessing same ones as NSAC authorize.


k-1 = kickboxing
k-1 heroes = mma

I really have to be curious if Saku will get cleared to fight. Isn't cali the state that wouldn't let Mo/Ruas fight because of age? Saku had documented brain damage in a fight in 2006, and is just a walking medical case study. I have doubts that this will happen in California. It is not a MMA friendly state.

Couple freakshow fights (which I personally always enjoy)... Lesnar's debut... Saku in the US!!! KID??!!??!! And I think the Rua / Villasenor fight will be a great headliner... And I like Gina's boobs , sorry I had to throw that in there...
