I quit going to ESPN for my sports news because of their video that blasts across my speakers every time the page loads.
The last thing I remember that annoying on a daily basis were those smiley face banners that said "OH NO" or something to that effect.

Those are just a few of the sports sites I visit daily in ESPN's place.
Anyone else annoyed by the video that starts on its own?

I can live with it although I do find it a little annoying. NASCAR's front page (nascar.com) tends to do it as well.

It pissed me off the first few times I went there and it started playing, but it really doesn't bug me these days. I have my speakers turned down most of the time, anyways.

That's one of my biggest pet peeves with websites. Cage Rage's site does it constantly and it drives me bananas.

It's basically to the point that I absolutely hate Flash player, that's what all the sites are now using for video and, even worse, for ads.

I can't stand ESPN's MMA boards. That danhendersonnation and rightnow 55 constantly post stuff about the UFC vs DREAM/PRIDE War. It's worse than Sherdog. Thank god for the MMAplayground boards!!

I know what you are talking about. danhendersonnation once had a post where he called Shogun, Forrest Griffin, and Chuck Liddell garbage fighters. I really cannot stand that guy.

I'm sick and tired of EVERYTHING ESPN. They are bias towards so many of my favorite teams that its sickening to watch. I will be a happy man if I never have to watch Lou Holtz again during college football season.

ESPN is the worst....
funny to see now TMZ.COM go after actors, and seem to not like them. But now they have joined the video start up and are now promoting movies off of our website....( Now thats funny). and its the wife got me watching the show ;-)
The worst with espn is, late at night, when you have the page open, and your watching tv, then WHAAAM!! The video starts to play, and you left your speakers on.
Other then that ESPN.COM is the best sports site around bar none.....
