Erik Koch-Ricardo Lamas planned for UFC on FOX 6 main card opener

Though not yet announced by the UFC, sources close to the promotion on Monday told MMAjunkie.com a featherweight bout between Ricardo Lamas and Erik Koch will open up the main card of UFC on FOX 6 in Chicago.

Agreed, there are some title shot implications here as well.

very nice match up...has not been a lot of talk about Lamas, i like his chances.

Same, people are picking Koch and he's the slight favorite which is surprising to me. Both guys have KO power but I would give speed to Lamas. He`s just so explosive and has great cardio. I see this fight staying on the feet and Lamas should win what will be a war!

Would rather see guida vs hioki on main card

My opinion tends to differ. I think Koch will have the edge on the feet and Lamas's wrestling is going to be his best asset in this fight should he win.

Great fight to open the card.
