EliteXC announces two more signings

EliteXC has signed both Jake Shields and Murilo Ninja Rua, and they both will be fighting on the next card in may.. i think ninja will be good with the likes of louiseau and villasenor at MW, and shields is always a threat at WW.. can't wait to see who these two get matched up with and who else EliteXC is going to sign..

That rocks! I hope exc gets a lot more awesome fighters on its cards. Especially since I have showtime. EXC does have a chance to take off due to the clout that showtime carries. Also, if it does well, HBO will be more likely to pick up the UFC. And then it's just a matter of time before we get to see the 24hr Combat Sports Network. It's a nice dream!

There is, it's called the Fight network. However, it's not readily available to all cable and satellite companies as far as I know.

I looked at it online, it seems pretty cool, even with all the pro wrestling stuff. It's a canadian network though. Definitely not offered around where I am. I did hear that Dish is going to pick up a 24hr martial arts channel. That will go great with my KungfuHD channel.

One of my gyms fighters is fighting in that show. My trainer is there right now. He called me yesterday and said it is BIG TIME. All the big names are there and there is a really proffesional air about the event. He thinks the Elite XC will be huge. I am not sold yet but I am open to another good production. They seem to have some good fighters signed up.

Ninja had never really impressed me. He beats the B level fighters and loses whenever he steps up and fights guys on equal footing.

Ninja has always been overrated.
Shields on the otherhand is underrated and is disliked because he's a "Yawn-monger", but he's a great fighter and I'm a fan of his.

That does suck that Diaz isn't staying in Pride.
I watched the event last night and it had some rough edges. I didn't like the announcer very much, Goldberg wasn't bad its just the other guy was annoying. Especially when he said "well call me a liar liar pants on fire." The promoting of the fights was so so, but I dont expect them to be as good as the UFC already at promoting.
EXC will be great in the future I am sure, but I think it will take time. I am glad they got a contract with Showtime, because this opens alot of doors for MMA.
Hopefully in a year or so we will see some Champion vs. Champion between the UFC and EXC.
Im still dreaming about Pride vs. UFC champion vs. Champion

yea he was supposed to fight thomas denny for the GFC welterweight belt.. and i believe he still is, the event is supposed to scheduled for this month or next month.. although unless he walks away from the fight with gomi unharmed, i doubt he will get the medical clearance to fight on another card so soon.. so they will probably end up putting someone else against denny
