Puts UFC to shame...UFC is so much bigger than Elite XC and brings in more money and they still pay like crap.

Just came out on Taggradio that the payout report was wrong... Shamrock only got paid 200 K, and Cung Le only made 45 K.

Baroni made 100 K rather than 75 K

These are all confirmed...

I don't know about that, Frank got paid true, no doubt about it. Still, Chuck and Randy made over a miliion each from there PPV bonuses alone in there 3rd fight ,according to Josh Gross . Add the $225 grand they made to show and their good. If your a small league, you have to overpay to get a draw, which Shamrock is IMO. Same with any name fighter, they will probably have to pay more than the UFC does, but it's smart if they do. In the UFC Frank probably wouldn't even be considered top 10 in his weight class, but he would still be a draw. Shamrock said himself 2 days ago on the betadown, that he is at the bottom of middleweights ranking right now, because he hasn't been fighting. He also said , that after he finds out what's wrong with his knee, he will fight Renzo again next. When asked if would fight Lindland, he said no , Lindland would beat me up. Said the same thing about fighting Hendo. Kind of shocked me to see the humility from him . He said he will pick his fight's based on who can help him sell a PPV. My guess is he fight's Renzo, then Cung Lee. Whether or not Lee is ready for Frank. they will be able to sell out the Arena in Nocal for that fight. His cheers were as loud as Frank's last weekend.

thats how you can tell Frank has lost his heart when he believes that fighters will destroy him......Frank WAS one of the best pound for pound but now all he cares about is his money not about the sport

Thanks for the update. I don't know how much faith I am going to put in MMAnews.com now. That's the second day in a row they were wrong. first they said BJ was getting a title shot and had to retract it, now this. I wonder if Frank got a piece of the PPV also. It wouldn't be as much volume as the UFC PPV's , but it could be a nice chunk of cash. This is one reason I respect Josh Gross, even though I don't always agree with his opinions. When he reports something as a fact, he has real corroborating sources like a true journalist. Of course he , unlike most MMA reporters, actually went to journalism school. When he gives opinions he generally states they are just that.

this is much more realistic and LESS than the Ultimat Fighting Championship pays so apparently UFC isnt that cheap

I wouldn't go that far. The UFC has fighters on PPV events (some of them on the main card) that only a get a few thousand. Those numbers are about on par with what the UFC pays their fighters, but if you think of it in terms of the relative size of EliteXC vs the UFC, either EliteXC pays their fighters more or the UFC is underpaying them.
