hey guys,
Not sure here... were there english versions of the early pride events, say pride 1-5, that era?
I only find the japanese version, and that suits me fine, but if there are english versions maybe Ill search a little deeper. Thanks for any info.

I clearly remember watching Gary Goodridge fighting in an early Pride at my friends house, I can't remember which event or against who, but their was definately english speaking announcers... sorry I can't help you out with anything more than that...

Sorry I couldn't be of much help... I'll do some poking around, if I find anything out you'll be the first to know!
I have the Pride legacy DVDs 1-16 and they are all in English. And they are pretty affordable too. I think you get 5 events in one box set for about 15-20$

Yeah the have Pride 1-5 in a box set. I got it at Best Buy. It is funny because in half the fights the announcers have no idea what is going on. DSE didn't have any translators at the time to help Bas and his counter part out. They had no idea about half the rules nor time limits. There aren't to many fights that are unforgettable. You do get to see Rickson Gracie in the spotlight twice. It is also the emergence of Sak.
