I was thinking that, but then the cab driver drove by and he had the european blue stripe on the left side of the plate. Also, there's a peugot parked on the street. The cars were also driving on the right side of the road- so it can't be GB. The older european license plates didn't have the blue stripe so it is possible it's just an older plate. Either that, or it's a country that was only recently adopted into the EU

The speculation is endless

The cab driver side is the left, which means that it's not GB or Ireland. All other European countries drive on the right. I assume that all those cars have left hand steering (Japan is the only place I know that drives on the right, but has left hand steering).

The real question is how hard up is that taxi driver? I used to drive a taxi for some extra cash and I can tell you that you try to avoid the type of people who come staggering over to you through traffic smacking their own ass and shooting an imaginary bow and arrow.
