I was thinking that the LHW Grand Prinx will be after the middleweight. Who do you think will be the participants, here is the list I've come up with, including seeding and nationality:

1. Tito Ortiz (USA)
2. Ricardo Arona (Brazil)
3. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira (Brazil)
4. Renato Sabral (Brazil)
5. Vitor Belfort (Brazil)
6. Mike Whitehead (USA)
7. Gegard Mousasi (Armenian)
8. Yuki Kondo (Japan)
9. Krzysztof Soszynski (Canada)
10. Ryuichi Murata (Japan)
11. Mamed Khalidov (Poland)
12. Cyrille Diabate (France)
13. Daniel Tabera (Spain)
14. Yasuhito Namekawa (Japan)
15. Tony Bonello (Australia)
16. Glover Teixeira (USA)

I think its a good mix, you've got 4 Brazil, 3 US, and 3 Japan. The other 6 are ronin's of their own countries.

Those who just missed the cut, either because their country is already represented or are just too low on the totem pole: Lukasz Jurkowski (Poland), Robert Jocz (Poland), Keiichiro Yamamiya (Japan), Poai Suganuma (USA), Leonardo Lucio Nascimento (Brazil), Ryo Kawamura (Japan), Jeremy Lang (USA), Paul Cahoon (UK), Mario Sperry (Brazil), Alexey Oleinik (Ukrain), Grzegorz Jakubowski (Poland), Mikko Rupponen (Finland), and James Zikic (UK)

What are everybody's thoughts. Add and subtract to the list at will.

Great list but Poai Suganuma should definatly be on that list, he has some serious Skills.

I like your list. I can't see them doing it though. I think they will have a OWGP before a LHW one. I would like to see a 16 man OW:
1.Fedor
2.Cro Cop
3.Barnett
4.Hunt
5.Couture
6.Kharitonov
7.Overeem
8.Nog
9.Arona
10.Lebanner
11.Manhoef
12.Yoshida
13.Sefo
14.Aleks
15.Bigfoot
16.Tim or AA(if one or both leaves the UFC)

Of course this is simply a fantasy line up of mine and it's not it any sort of order it's just who I thought of. Since only one of the fighters mentioned are under UFC contract they could all theoretically fight in my amazing tourney but who knows. Either way I think they will be getting away from toruney's after the end of the mw one, and go into superfights. Either way I'm likeing Dreams direction thus far, I'm hoping their events will get better and better and better, they are the best alternative for UFC fighters who aren't happy, and they have the money to back it up.

EDIT: Good to see tournament fever sweeping the nation once again lol.

good list, except Overeem is fighting at HW now, i from what i've read he doesnt want to go back to LHW (takes alot out of him, thats why he didnt have that much stamina) although an opportunity like this might change his mind just for this time, but as for now he is at HW.

Yeah that's very True, but it could happen again like the old days when he came out with the Hammer

Your list is good, but sometimes you need to curbe to your audience. You need more Japanese fighters. The current lw grand prinx contained 7 Japan fighters. I added three, and I think thats the minimum.

I would love Vladimir to be in it, but I didn't include IFL fighters, no less the champions. Think they are under exclusive contracts. :(

The LHW GP I'd like to see DREAM produce.

01. Tito Ortiz (USA)
02. Ricardo Arona (Brazil)
03. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira (Brazil)
04. Renato Sabral (Brazil)
05. Vitor Belfort (Brazil)
06. Kevin Randleman (USA) (Am I the only one that wants 2 see Randleman?)
07. Mike Whitehead (USA)
08. Glover Teixeira (USA)
09. Branden Lee Hinkle (USA)
10. Roger Hollett (Canada)
11. Victor Valimaki (Canada)
12. Alex Andrade (USA)
13. Travis Wiuff (USA)
14. Fabiano Capoani (Brazil)
15. Gary Turner (England)
16. Cyrille Diabate (France)

These guys are MW's.
Sanae Kikuta
Melvin Mahoef
Yuki Kondo
Dong Sik Yoon
Alexandre Ferreira
Gegard Mousasi
Kiyoshi Tamura

Alistair Overeem (Fights at HW now)

My List isn't as diverse as you guys but I don't care where a guy is from and IMO these are the best LHW's that'd probably be available.

7 US, 5 Brazil, 2 Canadians, 1 France. Japan is notorious for it's smaller fighters but get weak at MW and are none existent any weight class above that. If there was a Japanese LHW it'd probably be Yoshiki Takahashi or a MW that moved up.

Its a very good list, but despite who the ebst fighters are you just have to come to terms with the fact that their can't be that many US fighters in a DREAM tournament. DREAM likes to lable itself as international, but due to his native Japanese home turf would push the japanese fighters above all else.

Unless its painfully obvious that the best fighters are all one nationality (as is the case with Arona, Nog, Belfort, and Babalu) and at which point DREAM is capitalizing off the name more than the country, they are not going to have their own tournament dominated by an outside country. Either its majority Japanese, or its very diverse.

But yes, aside from that I fully agree to your list and would love to see that...however, unrealistic due to the amount of US fighters. :(

Also the following all had their last couple of fights at LHW, weather they drop back down or not remains to be seen, but for now they are LHW (www.fightmatrix.com):
Sanae Kikuta
Melvin Mahoef
Yuki Kondo
Dong Sik Yoon
Alexandre Ferreira
Gegard Mousasi
Kiyoshi Tamura

Sanae Kikuta and Melvin Manheof have both faught the Majority of their career at 197 + Pounds and Dong Sik Yoon was always an undersized 205er but he can still fight their which he did for 2 or 3 Fights in his career.

I heard from a very reliable source that Mike Whitehead signed with Golden Boy Productions and will be fighting for them early this summer. Word on the street is they signed Lindland as well. You heard it hear first!!
