ok, so Fedor is not going to be fighting in the UFC any time soon. and personally i lost alot of respect for him as a fighter for him not joining the UFC. i know there were differences between Fedor camp and UFC but still everyone including Fedor knows he needs to fight the HWs in the UFC. thats besides the fact. the Emelianenko i want in the UFC is Aleks. 14 of his 18 fights have ended in the first round, most of which resulted in a win for him, and he has never been to a decision, and always puts on entertaining fights. he always comes to fight and will fight anyone. he has mentioned that he would like to fight for the UFC. i think there are plenty of interesting fights for him and he could really be a top contender!!

WAR SIGNING ALEKS!!

I dont think Aleks can get a visa because of a criminal record and if he has hep. that wont help either. Optimism says you'll see Fedor in the UFC after his three M-1 fights have ended. He has a few opponents in other orgs. that are interesting but eventually hes UFC bound or retires. I mean at this point I think its best to quit questioning and be patient.

Every time this topic hits the boards, I always have to post this link to a interview with CSAC official Bill Douglas from '08.

Aleks Emelianenko will never fight in USA again

Unless this interview is inaccurate or something has drastically changed, I think the odds are very slim that Aleks signs with the UFC. Very sad to hear for huge Aleks fans such as myself and the ts.

I love watching the dude too, but if he's not fighting in Europe / Asia then it's a done deal for him.

He could fight int he UFC if he just fought on the non-us cards. Since the start of 2008 alone, there have been 8 UFC cards held outside the US, and my guess is that number will grow to at least 10 per year pretty soon.

Don't think we'll see Aleks in the UFC for awhile, if ever ...

Fedor, maybe, once he realizes the company he's presently keeping isn't the best for The Last Emperor!

As I understand it, Fedor still has a contractual obligation with M1 global. That's why they wanted the cross promotion, so fighting in the UFC was still counting to the M1 contract. When the contract is over, who knows? Maybe Fedor will move.

IIRC the contract was for three more fights... Strikeforces divisions are all sparse... his contract might not end soon.

Which is a shame, because I want fedor in the UFC too.
