this sucks. I was really hoping to see Din submit him in the first round.

The question is though, does this exclusivity clause only apply to boxing?

If the Muhammad Ali Boxing Reform Act was ever applied to MMA, Dana White's interviews would be the best entertainment on the planet.

Don King's probably going to win this contractual argument by virtue of being Don King.

Of course something like this would happen, King doesn't want MMA to beat out one of Boxing's decorated champions.

I doubt King cares about the MMA vs Boxing debate.

Something tells me King takes more of an issue with the fact that he's not making any money off the fight.

dont mess with the Don King, lol
I hope he brings Mike Tyson back, if Tyson could get in half the shape he was in way back when, aside from age, it could be entertaining comeback to watch imo.
I think Mayorga gets submitted if this fight happens

No way dude, Tyson is too old and removed from the game to even dream of a comeback.

King has spoken before on MMA, saying that he thinks the sport is entertaining, but hardly has the class or skills required by Boxing stars. Therefore regardless of the money issue, he doesn't want a proven boxer to get subbed.

Without Boxing Don King is nothing...he doesn't want the fight to happen because he knows that if a big time boxer goes down in MMA...it will only be another nail in boxing's coffin. Without Boxing Don King has nothing. Of course it is about money...but he is thinking about the long run. Don King is scared he will eventually be jobless.

Don King is protecting his product, I see where he's coming from as a promoter with a contract.

it's too bad that we have to hear about this guy attached to MMA. I cant stand the man-weasel he is. Sorry for the bashing but I think it is warrented

EDIT: Also I am not to ticked about Mayorga not getting to fight. i was tired of hearing him run his mouth already. And he hasn't had a fight yet!!!!????

He has had fights, just not MMA fights. Boxer's are cocky by nature, it sells fights. He's just doing what he is supposed to, selling fights and being confident in his hands to win the fight.
