Sure left a lot of people off the poll IMO.

On the poll, I'd say Sherk. Urijah Faber looks fairly untouchable right now, too.

as far as past dominance by a champion goes i had to go with hughes, id put wandy or even chuck on there too for dominating with the belt

Of those people on that list om gonna go with Sherk on the hope he doesn't loose to Franca and make me look ridiculous just on the sole basis he has the the best chance of defending his title in his weight class making him the most dominent in IMO but id put sum other people on there Like Hughes who destroyed the WW class.

From the list I'd say Rampage or Sherk. Things could get interesting for both of them with Wandy, Shogun, Penn, and Franca in the picture.
BTW, does anyone know whats up with Penn? Has he confirmed going up weight, staying at LW, or what? IMO, he could be the dominant champ at LW if he does decide to stay there.
it's still up in the air. He put his post fight interview up on his webpage a few days ago finally.

The question should read "who has the best chance of being dominate."
I would say Sherk. He is big/strong for his weight class. He can control a BJJ guy (florian) or he can take down a striker to nullify their game. The only problem I see for Sherk is Penn. I think Penn isn't going to fight at LW so Sherk is the easy choice.
However, Fran err Frank could be the most dominate simply because he will be fighting slightly less talented fighters in a lower level org.
I gotta go for Sherk, he is the most dominant champ in the stacked LW division, and I dont see him being beat anytime soon. He isnt bein stopped.

Who is the dominant champ?
Not one fighter on that poll has a title defense recently. All have just won their belts.
Not to mention you spelt Ninja's name wrong and
FRANK Shamrocks name. No offense..... but you can't spell Frank?
I think someone like Anderson Silva should be on this poll .
Or for instance probably the most dominant champ to date.......

I agree that faber should be on the list but of the ones on the list i would pick couture. He realy impressed me with his last fight

I also agree on Faber, but out of those I went with Sherk, just because except for Penn, and maybe Stevenson, no one is at Sherk's level of competition just yet. There are fighters out there like Franca, Fisher, Huerta, Griffin, Guida, Florian, who with a couple more solid fights could rise to be competition, but right now, it'd pretty be much like Florian's title shot, in which they are trying to just survive Sherk, and that's what I believe will happen with Franca.. So i'd go with Sherk.

I agree, Couture did look good, but Tim made him look really good.

I think Urijah should be on here but from the ones here its gonna be rampage, he will keep the belt alot longer than anyone else.
Its a tough call but I don't see how anyone can choose Rampage as the most "dominant" champ. He hasn't even defended the title yet and its his first time being a champion.
I think of everyone on that list Rampage has the most potential to be a truly dominant champ and I think he will be one, but right now you cant say he is.
Same goes for Sherk, he may be big and strong for his weight class but he is getting ready to make his FIRST title defense. Never having defended your title doesn't make you a dominant champ.
Same goes for Serra also. From that list I would choose Randy Couture. Because he is a multiple champ in two different weight classes and he is a champ at 40 years old. That makes him by far the most "dominant" champ on that list.
Frank Shamrock is proably #2 in dominant standards, but I refuse to vote for him since he refuses to fight anyone that will give him a real challenge.

I would have too say matt hughes. Just because he is not the champ any more and he was deafeated by St. Piere doesnt mean much. When you have a record of 41-5 and have wins against Frank trigg, Bj penn, Royce gracie, Sean sherk, carlos newton (the list goes on and on) and have win streaks up too 18 fights in mma competition and up too 6 title defenses in the ufc you have too be considered dominant and if were talking about dominance here was there ever a fighter that dominanted other in the fashion hughes did?
