Din Thomas, well-known in the Ultimate Fighting Championship world, was arrested Tuesday after police say he ran “illegal cage fighting” matches at a local training studio that he runs, a police spokesman said.

That writer Greenlee is a retard. What is more brutal getting hit in the head a couple of hundred times or getting taken down and choked for all of about 3 to 5 seconds till you tap and then let go, he writes like every fight ends up being a blood bath or something. He made MMA out to look like something that it is not.

Sounds like a case of semantics to me.
Training/practice competition OR unsanctioned bouts.
If the participants were getting paid and the spectators had to pay admission then this is a different story, but until I hear more I am on Din's side for now.

The only thing that concerns me about this is the number of spectators, but i agree, if they wernt paying admission fees and were guest/members at the gym.....this is bogus

He has only been arrested and not convicted of anything.

what he should have done is have all the fighter sign something sayin they are a part of his gym and they are doing a hard sparing work out, and the people that came to watch it he should has charge because they where privite classes and to watch and learn it is only $20 lol
