I was just wondering what a good diet for muscle building is. I am about 5'8 145ish.
I just want some ideas as to how many calories a day, how many meals a day, what some good foods are that type thing. I have no idea where to start and was just wondering if I could get some help.
I always went high on carbs. Ate lots of bread, grain, (if you're not worried about staying small) all kinds of meat.
You should clean up what you eat for the ability to lift 4 to 5 sets and still maintain high calories. Bigger breakfast always gave me a little energy edge.
I'd consume carbs before and protein after.
Salad helps with the ability to go longer.
I don't know how your stomach is but eat big to go big.
eats lots of protein and carbs. carbs give you energy, but if you don't work out after eating them, it turns to fat, so be careful =P
If ur a naturally skinny guy, the main thing is just to eat as much and as often and as CLEANLY as possible; focusing on the protein... The rest will come with time. No real magic way... It takes a bit of tweeking and adjusting.... Main thing is just to eat eat eat, but cleanly is the key.
