It appears that Diego Sanchez isn’t willing to own up to his recent loss to Josh Koscheck at UFC 69. An attentive MMA HQ reader alerted me to the fact that Diego recently updated his myspace.com page. In the “about me” section Diego has the following to say:

I AM A FIGHTER FOR UFC WITH A RECORD OF 20-0

Really, Diego?? 20-0?? Thats funny, because the rest of us thought that once you lose a fight your record would have fallen to 19-1 instead of 20-0. But then again, we all could be mistaken

If someone would have woken the kid up a few minutes before the fight to remind him it was time to go to work, he might well be 20-0....but unfort for Diego, he desided to sleep thru the fight and now: 19-1.

Short X-mas present list for Diego: Alarm Clock.

I wasnt really worried about Deigo rebounding even though im not a big fan, but if he still thinks hes undefeated i am starting to worry about him.

He counts his record on TUF as wins also. Which would've given him a 20-0 record before he fought Koscheck. He just hasn't updated his Myspace seeing as how he's probably reflecting on his loss rather than worrying about the internet right now.

So....shut up and stop swinging from Koschecks blonde pubes.

Diego's record is 17-1.

Now, if decision wins don't count, well then Diego is 13-0 (and only 3-0 in the UFC)

Diego, get over it. If you can't, I see your MMA future being short and dim. You're losing fans daily by acting this way.

I can't believe I'm giving advice to Diego

Um, why would decision wins not count?

And I don't care if the fight was uneventful, Kos is a boring fighter with a boring style, and Sanchez is a way more talented, well-rounded fighter. But that doesn't win you fights. It's whoever showed up that night, and that night it was Kos.

However, 7 times out of 10 times, Sanchez wins that fight. And if he loses, it's either by a decision, a lucky submission because Kos has good wrestling skills to get him into a good position (like getting the back due to punches and sinking in a choke -- you'll never see Kos tap someone out with an armbar from the bottom, or something that takes a lot skill,) OR one of those looping sloppy punches actually land clean.

He's just a really good wrestler with basic standup, who's able to get a submission because of his wrestling.

I can't wait to see Kos get KO'ed.

I was speaking facetiously, based off of Diego not counting his loss (by decision).
