i gotta go with Alvarez. he has better stand up and he'll be able to defend Nick's lackluster takedowns. i'll be rooting for Nick but this is just a bad match up for him in my opinion.

i have to go with Alvarez..think he's just doin too good right now..and he showed that he could eat punches..and what do you think Diaz is gonna do..stand up and trade shots..so i think Alvarez has a bigger striking edge over Diaz...

I love both these fighters so it's a really tough call for me...

I gotta go with Alvarez... Seems like he's got a hot hand, and he used to fight the big boys up at Welterweight just like Nick...

Eddie's got better TD's and more explosive standup... But I don't see him (T)KOing Diaz so if he wins it might be by decision...

On the other hand, I haven't seen Diaz work from his back much lately as everyone seems scared to try and fu*k with his guard, and I haven't seen too much of Alvarezes sub defense..... So I guess I wouldn't be surprised if Diaz subbed him

Kawajiri has an awesome chin, and we saw what Alvarez did to him.
I don't think that Nick has anything to bring against Eddie.

I like Alvarez in this fight, he's been dominating everyone lately and Diaz has had some questionable performances in the past. Eddie by UD. Should be an awesome fight.

Thinking Alvarez, picking Alvarez, betting on Alvarez

Alvarez was a two time all american, so he should have the wrestling to avoid Nick's takedowns, and standing Alvarez is the better boxer. Nick could pull it off as I've seen him overcome guys with better skills (Gomi) but Alvarez has a definete advantage.

alvarez by tko, cut, or ud.

look at what mike aina did to him, or kj noons.

alvarez has too much endurance to be beaten by the homer simpson strategy

this is going to be a very explosive fight on the feet. Diaz doesn't have the most powerful stand-up, but he does tend to get into exciting exchanges and land some precisions shots that do some damage. However, Alvarez is going to outclass him in this one. he has the wrestling to keep this fight where he wants it and the tenacity and pace to take it to Diaz on the feet. i don't think Nick will be able to keep up with Eddie and Alvarez will score the 2nd round KO after another brilliant fight involving Alvarez.
