There has been speculation over the last several months that UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St. Pierre will go elsewhere when his contract is up (he has 2 fights left). But on MMAWeekly's radio show last night, GSP said there are no plans to leave UFC for other places, including Affliction (his main sponsor), and he hopes to even finish his career in UFC.

Why would GSP ever leave the UFC when he is the second biggest star next to Anderson Silva? The dude is a juggernaut there, and all of the best welterweights are in the UFC as well. I hadn't heard thios rumor, but if I had, I wouldn't have believed it.
I never heard that rumor either and i don't see why he quit the UFC, when he beats fitch its gonna be the time to negociate he will be able to suck a lot of money out of Dana's pocket lol

As noted above, I see only one reason he could leave: Affliction. They are his main sponsor so it could be argued he could've tried to jump to Affliction out of loyalty to his longtime sponsor. Money could be the only other reason, he's likely going to command a big raise when it's contract time again. I personally think he's into $150-200K per fight territory now, win or lose.

if he beats BJ, he might. If he beats Silva, no body left.

There's always someone left. This the UFC! The biggest mma promotion in the world. Who the hell would GSP fight in Affliction. I guess you forgot about guys like Thiago Alves, Karo Parysian, and Diego Sanchez too. If GSp left the UFC it would be a very bad move for his fighting legacy. Sponsors come and go, the UFC made GSP a star and he knows it. I can't see him leaving for a very long time.

I herd this rumor about a month ago.It was due to several things including: Not being mentioned in the UFC video game,Not being included in the UFC action figure line up,and having Affliction as his number one sponsor.
It would be interesting to see him leave, but really I'm glad he's staying, because I really don't think the division is deep enough state wi

He wasn't included in the action figure deal because of the one-sided contract that many in the legal biz think is illegal. Basically the contract renews indefinetely, so they would essentially own anything GSP makes...well indefinetely.
I'd heard the rumor, but the UFC will never let him go. If he did leave, we'd probably see a lot of MMA talent from the UFC being spread across various organizations, which could be good or it could be bad, It would be interesting nonetheless to see what the effect would be.

It really depends on his "contract". If at any point, he feels that he is being mistreated or taken advantage of he may leave. I think he'll stay in the UFC and fight many fights, but this is a business and his fight life is only about 4-5 more years. If UFC doesn't promote him anymore and his contract is raping him, he should leave. You have to make money during your prime years so that you aren't Ken Shamrocking it in your late 40's.

Not much of a rumor if no one has heard it

he's not in the game? wtf? i can do without the action figure, but how the hell could the game not include a current title holder (the 1st version of tapout had at least 30 fighters)

As far as I know he's in the game, his name wasn't highlighted though on the list of "superstars" to play as though.
Though if he wasn't in the game I wouldn't be suprised.Couture wasn't featured in any of the UFC games for various reasons, and in the end GSP might decided the same.Don't be disheartend just yet though.I think he is in it.
