Now for the big news: An "important fighter" was going to announce their retirement today and that happened...sadly for the women's MMA fans, that important fighter is DEEP Women's Lightweight Champion Miku Matsumoto. No word on date but she reportedly wants an exhibition match before she retires. Miku is 28 and if this is it, she retires with a 23-4 record and a 12-fight winning streak. Her last fight was in October '09.

The LHW Tournament is to conclude on 4/17. The winner becomes the first DEEP Light Heavyweight Champion and could gain entry into the DREAM Light Heavyweight GP starting in May.
