Then Dana White is wrong.

Clarify the back of the head rule to make it represent the part of the body that is actually dangerous to strike.

Allow knees and kicks to fighters who are kneeling or on top, keep them illegal only for a fighter on their back.

Change the rules to either a 20 point system or allow for half points. Clarify judging criteria to take away the favoritism for wrestlers.

Allow 12-6 elbows.

Get rid of stand-ups or add language that makes them rarer.

Thats all I can think of right now but there's probably more.

Good call. I would personally like to see UFC go to a Pride style 10 minute first round as well. That would change the dynamic of a ton of fights.

Knees to the head on the ground, 12-6 elbows, minute by minute scoring, bada-bing bada-boom!

I'm with Dana. The rules are fine. I know Joe Rogan likes to bitch about the origin of the 12-6 rule, but in my mind I can't see how it would benefit MMA. It just seems like the risk of facial injury would sky rocket. Glancing elbow blows seem a lot safer.
