Dana White Blasts Fedor's Team, Russians

In a recent interview Dana White stated that the reason the Fedor deal has not been finished is because he was "dealing with crazy Russians." Needless to say Fedor's boxing coach and trainer was none too pleased, going as far as to say the "U.S. and Russia will never see eye to eye, and I don't care what he says."

Real smart, the guy is trying to get the best fighter on Planet Earth, and he not only disrespects Fedor's team and handlers, but also his entire country. Keep the hits coming Dana.

Fedor is a top dog and wants to be paid like one. I feel the UFC is overpaying talent and stepping on the guys that have been with them for years. Coming into the UFC and having a title fight right out of the gate is just stupid. We overpaid for Cro Cop and he thoroughly disappointed. Who is the next "talent" that gets his a$$ kicked?

I agree, he has problems with subs, we know that. Still, he reversed Fedor a lot of times and has shown an incredible natural ability for mma. Standing up and striking nobody in UFC could deal with him or win. Period. There are reports and pics of him training and he's down to 270 already.

This has nothing to do with the US or Russia. Why did Dana have to say that? Fedor can screw off lol...you do realize he is the best p4p fighter in the world. Dana obviously wants him so he can have the best fighter in his org.

The UFC is becomming super loaded with talent plus they are pulling some good new talent out of the wood works

Obviously you do not like PRIDE, so don't lie or put up a front. Dana White markets fighters like Forrest and Jardine to no end where as PRIDE would have an event featuring 14 fighters that would headline any UFC with barely any hype. Maybe that, and Japanese mafia ties and losing the TV deal with Fuji Tv in Japan because of it has something to do with them not being around, not the talent. lol.

If you just admitted PRIDE has better talent, better cards and better rules, how did UFC out do them?? When PRIDE was with Fuji TV (which is like HBO in Japan) they outdid the UFC in every way. Last time I checked SpikeTV isn't premium cable. UFC outdid them by not aligning with mobsters and trying to fix some of their early fights?? True, but that's all.

Do you not understand that REGARDLESS OF THE MERIT of the statement, to insult the person/persons he is trying to recruit is doing him more harm than good?

If he WANTS Fedor(and there is no way he doesn't), it is idiocy to insult him before he has signed a contract.

Actually I really don't like Dana a lot to be honest. I just don't think you can call him an idiot when he has been making the UFC so much better. I would rather sign Cro-Cop and Big Nog then Hunt and Barnett any day. The UFC is being focused WAY too much on it's heavyweight division right now, and if it adds Fedor I feel it will survive a long time with the talent it has. Then we have Wanderlei who said it himself he wanted to fight later on in the year and he WILL get signed by the UFC soon if not before 2008. If the UFC doesn't get Gomi it will be a dissapointment yes, but the UFC's LW division isn't bad right now and maybe they can't afford to bring all of these stars over from Pride so quickly.

Hmmmmm I'd say buying PrideFC was kind of outdoing them buisiness wise. The only thing I preferred about Pride was the cards because using the ring was horrible, and personally I don't like when your allowed to stomp/kick someone in the face when they are downed it's too easy and too dangerous.
