UFC Will Not Cut Mike Brown

Despite his 3rd Zuffa loss in his last 4 fights being suffered at UFC Fights For The Troops 2, former WEC Featherweight Champion Mike Brown will not be cut by UFC yet. Altogether, the talented featherweight has lost four of his last six. Because of that, his UFC future seemed murky after his most recent loss, but the decision to keep him was likely helped by the fact that Brown had stepped up to fight Rani Yahya on short notice, just three weeks after a split-decision loss to Diego Nunes at UFC 125. Yahya had been scheduled to face Chan Sung Jung, before Jung pulled out due to injury. Brown likely is going to be out several months due to injury rehab.

This is what I was thinking at least one more shot and I think mostly because he stepped up short notice to fight Yahya.

i think also because he is a notable name in the new 145 division...keep him around to bolster some more 145 press and notable names..then drop him once they feel he cant help the reputation of the division anymore...provided he loses again

He is game to fight anybody and always puts on a show. Glad they kept him around. I would rather watch a guy like Brown fight and lose than some of these guys that , win, but do a lot of LnP or dont engage.

Good choice. He's better than he's shown in recent fights. Hope he manages to get back on track with some decent wins.

He's a great fighter and is one of the guys that deserves a pass on his current losing streak. Similar to Joe Stevenson he definitely deserves to be there and I hope to see him fighting in the UFC for a long time.

i agree with most everyone in keeping brown. however, if he loses again, i say let him go.
