Cung Le Confirmed For Strikeforce Event

Strikeforce has confirmed that their November 16 event in San Jose, CA will now feature hometown Middleweight fighter Cung Le. No opponent has been named yet but Le said in an interview yesterday that Frank Shamrock backed out of the fight.

Seems Shamrock is getting good at not backing up his words, it seems that this fight was all but confirmed not too long ago by both fighters and would've been a good test for the unbeaten Le.

Cung Le is an amazing figter in my opinion. Very technical and scientific. His past San Shou fights are great too. If Dan wants to beef up the middleweight div. he should sign this guy. He's technical like Anderson but more so and highly entertaining.

Cung Le has 4 pro fights, sticking him in there with a veteran like shamrock would be murder. I dont care how good a kickboxer he is, shamrock would take him down and submit him quickly. Also hes not that big a name and shamrock likes to fight bigger names.

I say Shamrock would have taken Cung Le.
Despite Cung Le having amazing striking technique,he seems to be lacking in power a little.I think Shamrock would be able to capatilize on Cung Le's abilities and pull out a victory.


However,I think Cung Le would be a good test for Frank though.

Frank knew he would get KTFO same as Baroni without a crippling injury, hope Cung fights a half decent fighter who will take him down, it isnt going to be Sean Salmon which is a shame cos he matched that description but likely would if ended up getting KTFO via head kick again

cool im gonna be at that fight. hope they give him a challenge. and if that guy is smart, he better work on taking cung down.
