I think he will take the fight because he realizes that if the sport is to grow and succeed he needs to do it. Randy Couture is the face of MMA and he needs to be with the best

Well they are both going to be at the event this weekend, my heart of hearts doesn't think they will come to terms, but you never know... we may have a suprise announcment on Sat.

Hate to say it but even if Randy does take the fight, I can't help but wonder if Nog will still take the title from him....maybe i'm wrong.

I'm predicting Couture will mend the relationship a little, but there'll be no change.

even though i really want couture to come back, i just see this as happening the same way it did with Joe Tore and the Yankees. Nothing will probably get accomplished and randy will walk away cutting all ties with the ufc. again, this is solely IMO, even though i really don't want it to happen.

I think the competitor in Randy wants this fight. Let's face it. There are really only four guys left for Randy to fight. In order, Fedor, Nog, Barnett, and Mirko (if he comes back strong). There are other good fighters, like Hunt, but only these four are "worth it" for someone of Randy's stature and AGE. I don't know if he has four big wars left in him though

I think it will be in Couture's best intrest to take this fight. I think the only way he will get his fight with Fedor is to hold on to the UFC title for the next 8-9 months, and win his next 2 fights on his contract. Then the UFC and M-1 can market the fight. M-1 already has a deal for the UFC champ tp face Fedor, and the UFC would be stupid not to help after Randy's contract is up.

I think its 50 %0 if randy takes the fight its all up to him wether he really wants to fight or not if he is in it to fight and in it for competition then it shouldnt matter who they throw in front of him
