Just months after making his XFC debut, Corey Hill has come to terms with the East Coast MMA promotion on a long-term contract. It’s a deal that could possibly give Hill a future title shot with the Xtreme Fighting Championships. John Prisco, XFC President & matchmaker, who has added numerous fighters to the roster already in 2012, disclosed the signing early this morning.
Hill, who is best known for his appearance on TUF 5 & stellar showings in the UFC, suffered one of the most gruesome leg breaks in MMA history, back in 2008. Almost 13 months later he was back to full strength, in even better condition, and made his debut at XFC 15 with a win over fellow TUF contestant Charlie Rader. It took Corey Hill only minutes to finish off Rader with a Brabo choke, to successfully complete the comeback just before the end of round 1. The performance proved Hill, now 33 years old, is still one of the top competitors in the welterweight division.
