Popular CBS Sports basketball analyst Seth Davis went on a Twitter rant this weekend decrying the pictures of 'two muscular bloody men in homoerotic fighting pose' and saying he didn't want his sons to watch MMA.

My guess is it's the other way around, but either way his way of thinking is dying out and MMA will be just fine without dumbasses like him

On top of what everyone else has already said, we can probably attribute part of this statement to the Showtime deal falling through recently. As a result, I'm sure it became more acceptable to publicly criticize a sport that your brand won't be identifying with soon. Shoot, look at what ESPN did just after they lost the bidding war to Fox. Problem is...this guy didn't the memo about it being 2012.

It's regrettable that he views things that way, but I couldn't care less whether he wants to watch it or not. What I find more troublesome is that this bothers him so much that he needs to inform the world of it over twitter.

Exactly. Homophobic twitter rants don't hurt anybody but CBS/SI. He'll be lucky if he keeps his job.

Okay, his kids can't watch MMA because it's too homo for this dinosaur?
I guess they'll never watch pro wrestling either. Too many guys running around in their underwear.
I guess they'll never watch football because of the tight shiny pants, those exhibitionist helmets, and the way the players pat eachother on the buttocks.

I guess they'll never watch baseball or basket either since one sport centers around large hard sticks and the other deals with grown men groping over a large, bouncy sack.

Will he at least let them watch women do all this? I mean i'm sure he wound find nothing pornagraphic about it.

This is what I was thinking as well. Bob Arum can call it gay all he wants, but this guy actually has to answer to someone, and as soon as you criticize a sport in a bigoted manner you may as well start posting your resume on craigslist.
