i'm in the final stages of selling my car and have the car i want to buy narrowed down to two choices:

2002 BMW 325Ci

or

2002 lexus is300

from what i hear, the lexus' service is much better than bmw, more reliable and cheaper as well. Also the lexus is more reliable after 100k miles. BMW on the other hand is the "utlimate driving machine" and people swear by them.

any opinions by people that own either one or know about cars?

If you'v got the choice man go for the bmw man.
My dad's got a 530i and its awesome! My aunt had a lexus just like that an it is just a glorified saab!

You might want to check out the Infinity G35 too, a ton of fun to drive and they have won Luxury performance sedan Car of the year from Car and Driver every year since they started making them. My old man had a 2003 and now drives a 2007 and they are Hella fun to drive and very well put together.

while i do like the coupe, the sedan isnt too attractive on my eyes... the 3 and the g35 have been in a heated battle once the g35 came out tho. great car, had the pleasure of test driving the new ones..boy those things are quick!

Haven't had the pleasure of driving the coup, would love to. The sedan has 306hp and its amazing how powerful and sure-footed it feels on a twisty highway, I can just imagine the how the coup at 330hp would feel!

I think it needs to be said again, your girlfriend is awesome! Assuming, of course, she is part of the reason for the new ride.
