Rumors that Rodrigo "Minotauro" Nogueira has left Brazilian Top Team have been confirmed. Nogueira now heads his own team and does his training at other gyms. A split between Murillo Bustamante and Mario Sperry has resulted in Sperry's ouster. Paulo Filho and others that made the core of the team have also left. BTT now is being controlled primarly by Murillo Bustamante and Bebeo Duarte.

Shogun has injured his knee and could be out of his upcoming UFC appearance. We should know more on the severity of the injury in the next few days and whether or not it will have any impact on his fight schedule.

If Shogun really is injured and cat compete, the guys in UFC should breath easy cause they get to hold thier belts a little bit longer.

There is no explanation as to why BTT 'dissolved'?

I dont understand why people think Shogun is so great, yes he was great in Pride but in the Ufc you cannot soccer kick or stomp, and those are the two biggest assets to Rua's game.

Hah, I love how the Gracie team reports bad news only for Chuteboxe and BTT... but yeah I've read elsewhere that BTT is dead. Unless you still believe in Bustamante...

Shogun's one of the most complete packages in MMA. He's got nasty Muay Thai stand-up and he is very proficient on the ground. He'll be able to hold his own even without stomps and soccer kicks to the head.

Shame to hear about the BTT! Similarly, I hope Shogun heals up fast, he is a class act!

From what I've heard there are a lot of politics within BTT with respect to money distribution. I heard that fighters' winnings get distributed amongst all members. This is hearsay of course and I haven't looked for further evidence

Another note is that there is no news of the break-up on the BTT official page, but it hasn't been updated for 12 days.
