More fighters need to be aware of eye pokes. I'd hate to have seen this fight stopped due to a poke.

I figured the cut on alistair's eye was from a finger, but not from a poke. I noticed blood on overeems face after brock slapped him.

It was most likely accidental.

Most likely, but fighters still need to be aware of hand placement if they are using open palms near the face.

True, plus I hate when fights get stopped due to an eye poke, the Couture v Belfort title fight was the worst, Belfort won the UFC LHW title via an eye poke that is just wrong.

It was the corner of the glove that grazed Randy when Vitor threw a punch. Not an eye poke.

To bad none the less, but a punch IS what ended the fight.

Kevin burns and AJ was much much worse.

the problem is that the kind of pawing lesnar and hendo use to set up takedowns and H-bombs is very effective. It's just something fighters have to be aware of.. its like accidental groin kicks when the other guy turns into it.

they happen
